Busy Course
Beautiful golf course and it's in very good condition considering the amount of play they get. Greens were a little slow and bumpy but it looks like they are letting them grow a little longer to heal from the summer but they aren't too bad. Only negative was that there are several fairways that are narrow and close to other fairways so there can be balls from other players on parallel fairways landing in your field of play. Bring extra balls if you have a tendency to miss fairways because the rough is thick in many areas, trees, water and thick grass. Don't show up too early, you can't get a cart until 10 minutes before your tee time so you will have to lug your bag around by hand to hit range balls.
Great day, starter had poor attitude
Thank you for allowing me to provide feedback as my experience yesterday was pleasurable. I brought a family member out to experience the course for the first time as he was a new golfer, don't worry we kept him moving. Everything.m was exceptional except the attitude of the starter. As I was trying to get the cart he told me to take along the putting green out and while the cartbarn staff continues to pull up more carts almost blocking me in, the starter says "did you sign the cart agreement" as if I was suppose to know. Then as I drive over to the first hole with a group in front of us that had not even tee off yet the starter yells over "is you other player going to show" in a condescending voice. I let him know he was pulling up and 60 seconds later me and my playing partner were on the first tee ready to go.
I took it with a grain of salt and went on to enjoy the front nine. I pulled up to grab a Sando for the back nine and happened to hear a brief conversation with the same starter and another guest where the starter was quite unprofessional and demeaning saying to the guest "what is your cart number?" To which the guest states he did not know. Mind you I was not given a cart number either. It doesn't make sense that guests are treated like crap when the internal communication at the course and between the employees is lacking. Anyway, those are my thoughts as I hope the other guest yesterday did not have such a poor experience with the starter.
Fescafar
The course was in good shape. The driving range was decent for SoCal. I was really impressed with the greens, they were in excellent shape. I would go back
Meh conditions. Cool layout though.
They have a real problem with growing grass here. Fairways were all hard packed and very thin grass. Greens were bumpy and I can see why their rate is a little lower than it use to be at $110. I would not play here again unless they get there grass growing more consistently.
Great layout, poor conditions
For $160 you expect a course to be in great shape. I really enjoyed the layout and the Marshalls really tried to keep the group on pace. We played in 4:15, but would have been 5:00 if the Marshalls did not push the group in front of us. The fairways are in rough shape. Looks like maybe a fungus. The green were a little rough. They ran fast but not very true. It’s a great $75 course but not worth $160.
Too many tee times at this price point
Good course. Similar to Oak Quarry.
But pace much too slow. Allow a sixsome on the course and it slowed everything.
They seemed like regulars and so marshals didn’t bother pushing them along.
At 140 bucks, these details should not be missed.
Even though The greens were punched a weak prior they were in great condition course it's beautiful And challenge
Aerating front 9 and no warning
My friend talked to pro shop and they gave him a card that would refund $20 each for the front nine being aerated. I went I to talk to Latino younger kid and he did not know what he was doing. The cart itself had good cushioning but the GPS kept going back to the hole before so we would have to manually set the holes so we could get yardage. Played back 9 twice, was fun but its not the same when you get to challenge all 18. Probably will not be back from the proce standpoint. Way too overpriced Corona courses are better and way more value. Seems like a wannabee private but without the resources or customer service.
Fun Round
Strawberry Farms is good shape. Fairly tight course.
The conditions are on point. Greens are very good both with pace and firmness. It's playing easy because the set up is soft to get people excited to come back. I play all over and this is crispy nice.
