Don't pay full price
Greens were far from average. Burnt up fairways without a single sprinkler going. It's the second time we've played there this year and we decided to go back because a month ago the greens were rolling great. It looks like the staff packed it up for the season. Got it for $18 plus tax and I definitely wouldn't pay a dime over that to go there again. On the bright side, our cart was lighting fast. But the others in our group got the tortoise version.
Disappointed
This course needs to be better maintained. Greens are inconsistent. Cart path to some holes isn't clear. Not worth the money I paid for the round. Very disappointed & will not play here again.
going down hill
Greens have been punched but not sanded Not puttable Hard to find your ball due to high grass or picture an unraked hayfield Hate to be critical but this course can and has been a lot better than it is now Dont waste your money here
Royal Oak
The course was in good shape. If you hit your ball in the rough or anywhere close, good luck finding it. The grass was a little high & needed to be mowed. They are still remodeling & upgrading the course on a few holes, but it didn't affect play. It's a difficult course to play, If you have a high handicap. For the price I would play it again. Bring plenty balls
Good Value
This is the course I've been learning on. It has some real challenges. Playing near houses was intimidating for me as a learner, but now I'm more comfortable with the layout. Cart paths need a lot of work, but greens are well maintained. I never pay full price for this course. If you like to play cheap use GolfNow Hot Deals at Royal Oaks.
This course has really gone downhill
This was probably a wonderful course at one time. However, with current ownership, it is in rough shape. From the weed filled bunkers to the broken pavement of the cart paths, the course is simply shabby. The fairways are in rough shape, with bare spots and clover everywhere. There was no one in the pro shop to take our money. We had to go outside around the building to find someone. I can play 18 holes on a very nice course for the same amount of money I paid for 9 holes!
Where the heck is the course ?
Crazy routing old signs difficult to find where the next hole is yardage is incorrect on the signs fairways look like front lawns of houses greens were very nice
Beautiful setting
The scenery was beautiful. Its a hilly course. The course was reworked so the yardages weren't all correct. Also the carts struggled to get up the hills or go at all. If they get those issues resolved it'd be a great place to play.
Goat Pasture
The fairways were terrible, different turf conditions every approach. The greens were actually either pretty good or so awful your ball needed 4 wheel drive to get through pot holes. Place is going downhill.
Fun Course to Play
Enjoyed this course. Pat 5's are easy to reach in 2 shots. There is. Par 4 on the back 9 that is almost unfair, you have to hit a 200 shot before the water and hit another 200 to get over the water. To make a long story short I had to drop, but the drop area is the former green and it is still a 185-190 yard shot so luckily I made my drop shot. That hole could use some more thoughtful design. Otherwise I love the layout and the staff made this course amazing, beautiful bartenders!!
I love this course.
I love this course. Staff is always super nice and helpful. Greens were in great shape and it's February! There's a new neighborhood in Maryville that allows easier access to the clubhouse.
Going downhill
I understand having some projects going on that would change a course but this was way more than that. Course in rough shape, gotten worse since I played there a year ago. Could go off-roading on some cart paths.
Well set up
My friend and I enjoyed the pace of play. The new hole set up through our golf gps off on the back side thus we missed a couple of holes. But we made it OK.

Good value
Good greens. Fast pace. Friendly staff.
Great greens
Perfect golf weather made the slow play on the back nine much more tolerable. Breezed through the first 11 holes with no wait, but playing alone, I backed up to two foursomes on the 12th and play dragged badly after that. Very pleased the mgmt. put the course back to how it was is past years and the greens were in really excellent shape... rolling true and smooth. They were also putting extremely straight, even when one would expect them to break left or right. Overall, a great golf day!
DON'T GO
They should pay you to play this course
The layout is terrible almost as if you are on 2 or 3 different courses. And that is the best thing I would say about the course
Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for your poor experience. We assure you this is not the standard we strive to achieve and are continuing to work on course conditions. Look forward to having you back soon and making up for this experience.
