Great in many ways
I have always loved the course and played it a lot more than ten years past. It is still great. The greens are super soft and tend to be torn up and the tee boxes can be sparse.
Great layouts and views around a lush creek that runs through it. Price reflects conditions and overall is fun to play.
The Greens are Green!
Finally, the “browns” have turned back into greens. Still bumpy and some dead patches but much better than a month ago when there was hardly any green to be found. The rest of the course is nice, new first tee which adds a challenging dog-leg right to the hole. If you haven’t played here you have to try it out, relaxed, fun place to improve your irons.
Greens are slowly but steadily improving.
Tee boxes have markers now along with yardages.
Tee box for hole #1 has been relocated and now sits left of the Driving Range. This is a great improvement adding some interest to the hole as well as placing the starting tee within view of the pro shop and the driving range.
Greens are improving weekly, after suffering from the late spring freezing temperatures.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Jusy don't.
Its $10 for a reason. Had a 10:00 ter time. Got there and at least 30 people are at the 1st ter bix waiting. Pro shop told me they have such thing as tee tines and the wait will be 2 hours.
This place is a waste. Go play in your backyard.
Fairways are great! What's up with the greens?
The staff and fairways are both performing great. I just don't get what the problem is with the greens. We play here regularly and the greens have not really shown that much improvement over the past eight weeks. Maybe they needed a week under the visqueen hospital conditions several weeks ago to bring them up to par. A couple of tee box markers at each hole with yardage would be welcome also.
All said and done, this is a great casual course the is welcoming and fun. Wildlife and scenery is abundant. I've seen Bull snakes, deer, elk and bear at various times. I'm going to keep coming here to golf whether they get the greens figured out or not. I just think they need to work on those two items (turf on greens and tee boxes).
Greens in very rough shape
fairways are fine, greens were in horrible shape, not really playable except number 7.
Range balls felt like rocks.
Easy Going and Fun
Would love to have grown up with a course like this near me. Super fun track to play for beginners, and intermediate players. Walking only, very enjoyable track to walk not many hills. Great place to bring five clubs and have fun.
Upon arrival I was told it was too late to finish an executive nine - fine. Paid to hit balls (after already paying for a round) while watching multiple groups proceed to tee off after being told it was “too late.”
Cant beat it for $10!
Driving up to the course was interesting. Dirt road through what feels like cottages until you arrive at a squat brick farmhouse. The inside is rustic, and the staff are great. With your round you get either a free range bucket or a push cart. The driving range is great. Well marked yardage and youre hitting from grass. The putting area is weird. Then you see the greens on the course and it makes sense. Theres basically nine pooltables out there, tiny, and about 1/3 are in rather terrible condition. One clearly had a tractor driven over it. Probably while cutting the grass. Adds to the challenge of the course? Not crazy wide fairways, theyre well maintained, though a bit long and sloggy for my taste. It was a nice stroll through a nice EXTREMELY cheap. Had one of my best rounds actually. Ill be play this course often.
Greens are like putting in a parking lot. Dead grass and muddy.
Farm turned golf course
I was visiting Boulder and used Golf Now to book a few rounds. I guess i did not do my homework. Showed up, beautiful day to a 9 hole, mostly 3 par course. I just didn't pick that up on the overview.
The lady at the course was very nice but I have to say this was about as primitive a course as I have played. The fairways were pretty much back yard length. The greens small, slow and not in good shape. No sand. No water really, I think on lake.
I don't want to be unfair or anything but this is really just a local little course for very relaxed, beginner kind of golf that was not really in golf course condition.
Fun course
Fun course for the price. They need to mow and work on the greens. I will play there again.
Good course, short one but challenging. I love it.
There only 9 hole but really good, some hole are really challenging. Go there and I am sure you will be happy.
Haystacked
The course was good the weather was perfect little goose poop on one of the greens but other than that everything was good and to top it off I got a bucket of balls with my purchase, An unexpected bonus, well worth the value shot a 39 I was in such a good mood.
Fun local course
"The Stack" is a great local tradition. No frills, for sure, but friendly and a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Also: $5 add on for an extra 9 holes makes it even better value for money!
