Smooth, true, moderately fast. If only people would repair ball marks...sigh!
Wide open fairways, front nine greens all seemed to be crowned, and well guarded with sand. Back was a little easier for approach shots.
This is a links style course, few trees, waste areas off the fairway, especially the drainage ditch.
Plays long mostly on a few 400+ par 4's even from the blue tees.
All in all, a nice place to play.
Great Place to Play
I loved everything about this course: true greens - not a lot of break; great views on every hole; fast pace; played 18 in less than three hours! Definitely will be back here for more next time in the Desert.
Good Course for all level of Players
The course is in great shape and the staff very friendly. I hope we can play again before we have to head home.
Great place to play when you’re a hacker like I am. Fairways generally keep the ball in play, and the entire course is in good condition. The only complaint, we never saw a beverage cart, and when you make the turn at 9, it is a ways to the clubhouse. Just need to stock the golf bag before.
An easy morning
Set up a round on Golfnow and made sure I would be with a foursome.
The course staff was courteous and got us out in a timely manner on a coldish November morning.
My foursome, luckily, were all in the same handicap range, which made it easy to keep track of errand golf balls. And also left no one waiting for slower golfers as we all had the same pace of play.
The course was in perfect condition. Covid-19 rules didn’t interfere, nor was there ever any undo risk.
Look forward to playing again and would highly recommend as a course to try while in Palm Springs.
Round at Cimarron - Boulder Course
The weather was perfect - play was slow - hooked up with a single behind us so that made it better. Fairways can stand to grow some more, grass a bit sparse in areas, but the greens were excellent.
Course was in great shape, pace of play was a little slow, fun course , very fair for high handicap player, will definitely play here again
First time playing there and we enjoyed it. A typical desert course with wide fairways but lots of issues if you do miss the fairway. Lots of bunkers surround the greens which makes your short game very important. The greens were very smooth but a little slow today.
Four sets of tees along with a combination set of tees which are reasonable.
My wife and I will definitely play it the next time we are in Palm Springs.
Course was in great condition.. Carts allowed on fairways which is nice. Great deals from the beverage cart too.
Fun in the sun
Course is always in great condition. Always enjoy playing a course where I can use every club in my bag. Cheers
