Colony West Glades Course -- Good place to take a kid
Executive Course is cut, maintained, and the greens are decent enough and puttable, but the fairway turf conditions and tee boxes are poor. Fairways and most of the turf through the green on the course is kind of a Floritam/weed mix cut short. However, it was actually playable and there are some par 3's over water to keep it interesting. No sand bunkers makse it easier for beginners. Very windy day so even though most of the holes are easy, scoring was a challenge. Mostly older retired Canadians playing on a Monday Holiday in January. If you are seeking plush fairways and groomed conditions go elsewhere. I took my 10 year old son and we were able to hit multiple practice shots on nearly every hole and stay between the group of retirees in front of us and in back of us. $34 was pretty steep for the course conditions, but GolfNow was running a buy one round & get 2 coupons for future rounds so it was a good deal overall. Nice day for my son to hit quite a few practice balls under playing conditions on a holiday in peak season. Staff was friendly, and we had a great time. I would never recommend the course to competitive golfers comfortable with typical country club conditions. Greens were actually better than some of the cheap munis I've played, but even in season, there are better values with better overall conditions. I would never book our regular golfing group to play this course, but for a fun afternoon with a kid, or for any beginner who is nearby and on a budget it's OK.
Colony West Golf Club
Sorriest excuse for a golf course I have ever seen. Full stop.
No grass on the tee boxes. Greens were pitiful.
Fairways like potato fields.
Absolutely horrible experience.
Greens and Tee Boxes looked like they had Tijuana Rash
The greens were extremely poorly kept. Multiple tee boxes in same condition. Small little executive course that I wouldn't play again. Not well laid out and terrible conditions for playing in April. Could only imagine in July or August with it super hot. Probably a dirt patch.
Quick, fun round
Course is in pretty good shape and with the exception of one group in front of us (who we passed) the place of play was very good on a Saturday afternoon - finished in about 2 hours and 20 minutes. A little pricey, but it's a fun course that is much less busy than it's closest comp.
The Course
They need to put more effort into maintaining the course.
The greens are terrible. Would not recommend this course.
No worth it
Courses and terrible shape only several of the greens are
In good shape. The champ course is well kept nice. They should invest a little money in this course and it would be halfway decent..
Good Day
Very busy and a little slow but overall a good day. Will be back
Price and availability caught my attention
I’m sure the championship course this course is attached to is much nicer
The glades course was fairly beat up and not being a local it might be due to the time of year but I’m thinking with the rain they’ve had lately it shouldn’t be the case
Bit it sure beats trying to play in the snow back home
