Playable and Beautiful
Beach/King courses are a good combination for a fun round on a resort course. Well-maintained. And the jumping whales are a wonderful bonus if they decide to perform for you on the Beach course.
Nice
Stay out of the lava and you will be fine. Number 6 has quite a view.
Not a resort course
No gps, little sand in traps, cups not changed today, beverage cart was only beer, bar closed, just your average Florida style public course.
Wouldn't play again
My first experience playing this course. It's an average course, but was warned by hotel attendant before heading out that the greens aren't great. The weather was hot- visited in late July. The staff were great. But I played behind a family who were not pacing well. They played multiple shots over and didn't seem to understand how I should be playing through. After waiting about 10 mins at a tee box, I skipped past so I didn't get to finish the hole or even play it. Fairways were avg, and greens were in poor condition. Sandy and grainy. I ended up stopping play at the 12th hole, and left. I'd not play again for this price.
Very enjoyable and fair test
Generous fairways and greens. Second shots were challenging as greens were well protected.
Very friendly staff.
Range needs water to clean clubs!
Overall vg.
Waikoloa's Best
Great staff, great course! One of my favorite courses on Big Island.
Sevensome
There was a group of seven playing in front of us and they didn't let us play through until the 9th hole! I have never been behind a group of 7 all playing together. Unacceptable! I felt like they should give us a free 9 holes in the future but when we finished there was no one in the clubhouse to tell them about our round.
Awp
There was few staff and most importantly no Marshall. I quit after 12 holes because the foursome in front of me was molasses slow, had horrible etiquette and the course conditions weren’t up to par for me to want to continue. There were two full holes open in front of them.
