Taqhitz couples round
Typical city type course they were hit with rain a few days before we played so there were some washed out spots they were in the process of repairing. We had heard a good review from locals so decided to try it out. Overall average type course.
Sorry I went through Golf Now
I ended up paying the same as what the course charged. And because I went through GOLF Now, I didn't get the two free drinks. I'll go through the course next time
Legends Course at Tahquitz GCC
I’ve played both the Legends and the Resort courses at Taquitz over the past several years. The Legends is in outstanding shape this year. Hats off to the maintenance and grounds crew. The sand traps are full and well groomed. The staff have always been very helpful and courteous.
We had a 11:07 tee time on March 7, 2020. It was very busy and we teed off about 20 minutes late but it was a Sunday and the course was busy. We still finished in slightly more than 4.5 hours.
Overall both courses are challenging but not too hard for the average golfer.
Course In great shape
Hadn’t played the Legends course for a few years. Big improvement from last time. Tee boxes greens fairways and bunkers excellent. Finished in under 4 hours
Tahquitz legends course
Played early morning. Web site for tahquitz is good. Course has forgiving wide fairways. Greens putt good and are challenging. Sand trap I was in had good sand. Lots of good chatter coming from the 19th hole. Nice older original Palm springs course, give it shot.
Played with two nice gentlemen one from New York And one from Portland. We had a lot of Fun golf was ok and had to wait sometimes finished in just over four hours and it was a gorgeous day. Enjoyed playing the Legend. Course
Nice public golf course
Tahquitz legend course is a nice public golf course. It's fairly long but your balls roll long. The greens run true and quick downhill. Not a lot of water or sand. Very good golf course for higher handicaps.
Tough Finishing Holes
The 1st and 10th holes are kind of funky, requiring drive over the wash and a hill beyond. Keep a cart on top the hill until your group has hit 2nd shots or you will have people driving into you. It's totally blind from the tee boxes.
The last 3 holes are very long, even from the white tees, and will challenge you to finish strong
Greens are hard, slick and treacherous. Above the hole when pin is on front will often go off the green.
The greens are the fangs of this course, otherwise not much to hurt you. Fairways are wide, wide, and wider.
Great course with lots of challenges
Played afternoon Hot Deal. Late starting due to frost delay. Course busy every time I have been there. Played the Legends course. Course was in good shape and greens rolling true. Would play again, but could use a course marshall to help pace of play.
Great value track
We booked first tee time of day and couldn’t of had a better experience. Super friendly staff, helpful cart attendant and starters. If you only have time to play one course I would suggest the resort course. We played legends course and then opted to come back and play the resort course the following day. All bunkers were prepared properly with a decent amount of sand. Tee boxes and greens were also in great shape. You won’t find a better value in the valley.
Quirky Course Layout
Legend Course crosses Tahquitz Creek wash six times in 18 holes. Wash is currently dry and has been seeded with grass for the crossings. Crossings require (depending on hole) 160 to 200 yd carry to reach fairway. Tough for most women. Course is well maintained, fairways, tees, bunkers, greens and rough all in good shape. Starters are friendly, informative and efficient. Course was full today. Waited on several holes but still managed to finish in 4 1/2 hours. Arrived in clubhouse at 5:03 pm to find that the kitchen closes at 5 pm. Nothing to eat except packaged sandwiches. So we headed out to find an off property restaurant for dinner. Will not be going back as there are better course layouts and clubhouse amenities in the Valley.
