The course is still recovering from the flood. Six or seven holes are significantly damaged. Until these conditions improve, this course is not worth playing.
Not ready to open
As we played the course I realized that there were many holes that were just not recovered enough from the storm last month. We had many narrowed fairways and some entire holes were soft and muddy from the flood. Dont play this course for at least another month.
Several holes were impacted by recent flooding. Fairways were covered in mud and bunkers unplayable. I wouldn’t recommend playing the Resort course until repairs are completed.
We actually couldn’t play the course this day as it was the day following huge rainfall which caused flooding throughout the desert area. Tahquitz was unfortunately one of many courses affected.
The Resort course is in reasonably good shape, but if they continue the rate they are going it will not be long and the course will become ratty. They overbook the course, we also experienced over a 1/2 hour delay, the carts are ran so much that the couple in the other cart ran out of battery power and we had to wait on another cart to be delivered on the 12th hole. I found out that i was suppose to receive 2 complementary drinks from the clubhouse when checking in but never revived them and they were closed when returning to the club house. Over all i would return but wopuld not play the course after 1 PM
Like the layout
Only couple of concerns. Driving range not big enough had to wait to get on almost every time we Golfed which was around 5 to 6 times in 13 days of being in Palm Springs. Also after every round I would pay the Men at least 4 dollars to quickly clean our clubs and some of them seemed to treat me a little better then the ones who did not pay them.
Both my wife and I are 71, and in spite of diminishing distance & skills, were still able to keep up and enjoy the course. Other players were patient and courteous, and didn't "push" us. A nice first experience.
Always enjoy playing the Resort. Friendly staff pace of play right on time a lotted. Play it all the time when we come from Canada
Don't let the clubhouse fool you
When we pulled up to the bag drop we saw a very dated clubhouse and we were concerned.
Don't be !
We played the resort course and it was wonderful.
We will be back to play it again.
Course in need of upgrades, fairways not clean, to much open area, rough muddy, no decent lie, greens in good shape
Golfnow is extremely disappointing
We have booked 3 rounds this week through golfnow and all 3 have failed to get on the tee sheets at the course.
I will not use golfnow again while here in palm desert.
Most discouraging of all is that golfnow catches the mistake calls and then really does nothing to compensate for their problems.
In the 21st century customer service is everything and this company is failing.
The golf course we booked was unavailable so we were squeezed in on the less desirable course. The clubhouse was under staffed the driving range had no turf to hit from. There were no golf carts. We started late. There was no food or drink on the course. The restaurant was under staffed and all in all an unpleasant experience.
Bad restaurant and drivingrange
That drivingrangen is a joke. No gras. The restaurant is no good. This is the worst 19th hole in Palm Springs.
Fun course, great value
I play Tahquitz Resort course every time I come to the area. The "all inclusive golf" is a great option with great value. Breakfast before the round and lunch afterwards with a couple of drink tickets. Course is in good shape and not too challenging for the mid-handicapper.
Good Day in the Sun
We booked online through GolfNow, no problems checking in.
Carts are lined up as to tee times and course played, somewhat cleaned. No GPS.
Tee boxes and fairways are good. Greens are slower and received the ball well. One green was just top dressed and left with sand on top.
Overall, a fun course I will play again.
Beautiful Mountain View’s.
Nice course. Pretty Mountain Views. Good conditions— both fairways and greens. Some interesting holes. Pace of play was decent, about 4:20, so some waiting, but not too bad. About the only negative is the driving range, which has very little grass to hit from. Played with a couple who had played there previously, which was good, otherwise wouldn’t know exactly where to go with some tee shots. Enjoyable round.
Don’t bother. Dog track.
Got there but no one at bag drop. Big sign saying Not Responsible For Stolen Items however. The guy at pro shop says at least 45 minutes behind schedule on teetimes No Carts! My teetimes was for 12:37 pm. The guy says you won’t finish before dark. I say ok cancel and refund me. He says he can’t. Talk to GolfNow he says. No refunds..
This is a very beautiful and interesting course. The staff are friendly. The layout is better than the legend course. We will definitely come back to play again next year.
