Great course and a great location
Played hawks landing last summer so decided to try it again this winter. Had a great challenging layout with water on 14 of 18 holes so be prepared to lose some balls if your off your game. Greens are fast especially with the grain and they roll true. Really pricey during the winter but that’s the norm in Orlando. Bunkers are all new with soft sand easy to play out of.
This course is always in good condition and this most recent round I've never seen it better! Every aspect from greens, fairways, tee box were immaculate.
Resort Golf as it should be....
First time around the course and it was a fair test of golf from the back tees. Typical resort course with some wide open fairways; but the holes were varied in length with some forced carries or approaches. Greens ran about a 9 to 9.5 on the stimp meter so you could be aggressive with your birdie putts.
I’d try to play late afternoon as the out of state rates are a bit steep if you can, but I don’t think any course that I’ve played in the last month ( snow birding ) had better conditions and I’ve played all the usual suspects. ( Disney, Cypress, etc. )
Very nice golfcourse
One of the best in Orlando area. Nice layout - nice staff - had an excelent day.
One of our favorite courses in Orlando. Pace of play is usually very good which is unusual for a resort location. The entire staff was super friendly and casual but professional. Course was in very good condition.
This is what I would expect from a resort. As a single I ended up playing with 4 other singles. The staff and all my group were extremely friendly. Parking is sort of a cluster but not that big of a deal. The course was in great shape and had a good layout. The pro shop is nice but the lack of bar/restaurant was a bit disappointing. Overall I'd go again but wouldn't want to pay full price.
Some challenging holes but fair
Course is in great shape. Very playable. New sand in the bunkers is very soft and more difficult to get out of but will improve with time.
Beautiful track with lots of water
First time playing this course and wont be my last. The conditions from tee to green where outstanding. The course is beautiful with lots of water. Since this was my first time playing I took the starters recommendation and played the Green/Gold tess (5900 yds) next time I will play from the Green tees. Need to be accurate off the tee's. Greens where fast but very true. Carts have GPS which was very nice. Staff was wonderful all around. Cant wait to play again.
I played this course for the 2nd time and it was still amazing. The greens roll true and the course is in the best shape. If your in Orlando take advantage of this great course.
Very good course
Very helpful and friendly staff. Facilities and course layout is excellent. Great mix of tees and holes most with water in play. Greens good and true to putt on. Would definitely play again.
A nice layout and practice area is very close to the first tee.
There is no place to get food or a cocktail unless you buy it from the bev cart. The starter is a little long winded with his opening speech, but it was a great course and well worth the money. I would differently play it again.
Well worth it.
I do not have anything to say negative about the course and anyone working there. From dropping off my clubs out front until after walking off of the 18th green it was and always has been a pleasant experience. My one negative is that they were overseeding the course so it was cart path only, which only because my knees are bad made for a long and painful day, someone should have notified me at the time of booking. If you are from out of town or local trust me you won't be disappointed by the course. #4 and #12 are my two favorite holes, let me know which are yours.
Course was in very poor condition
When went there we were expecting a lot as it used to be one of the best kept courses in Orlando area. Alas it was in horrible shape overall (except for the greens which were ok), it was just over seeded and car path only (what wasn't mentioned in golfnow profile), it was very wet and muddy with huge puddles of water on the car path. The place was basically empty but still the back nine was slow. I hope the condition gets better as we really liked the course in the past.
We appreciate your feedback about your Hawk's landing experience. I apologize our current conditions did not meet your expectations. We always do our best to communicate and provide full disclosure for our current golf course conditions. Any time we are overseeding we also have to irrigate the seed to keep it wet so it will germinate. If you see a maintenance icon on Golf Now and it refers to overseeding this will always be the case until the seed germinates and grows in, which normally takes about 3-4 weeks. We hope you will return on another visit to Orlando. Please feel free to also call the golf shop in advance of booking to speak with one of our professionals about our current conditions and we will provide full disclosure.
