Tuff but fair
This course has nice greens/fairways/tee boxes. The only
complaint is if you miss the fairway...even if its only 10
feet....your likely to lose your ball! The rough is just that!
Like 2 ft high.Most fairways are large...but still...it would
be nice to have a shoulder like 10 feet wide...not 3 ft.I
played Suday PM and play was slow..
This course has lot's of chalenges, up and down hill. Windy the day I played
It was a very windy day at 25+ mph and gusting to 35 mpg. The course is chalenging with some very narrow shots to avoid danger and lost balls. Very heavy rough on both sides of the fairways. Greens were very fast and tricky with some steep slope. This course will test your best game. The course is well maintained, just challenging.
Hidden Treasure! Jack (Golden Bear) had a lot to work with in the designs on both courses.
Extrodinary layout utilizing every aspect of shot options and challenges. Risk-reward on every hole. Much fun and really beautiful setting.
Very affordable using GolfNow-Saturday prime time rate was $69, we got off for $25 for a 2:40 start time but the course had a cancellation and let us off at 2 o'clock cuz we were ready!
Great staff, facilities, courses (The Ranch and The Legends).
Long drive from Sacramento but worth it using GolfNow.
great course. love it
It was a terribly windy day but this course is fun in all kinds of weather. Staff very helpful and course in great shape. We left many balls in the rough so ball hunters will be in luck for a while. great fun.
GREAT COURSE FOR THE MONEY!!
its a little drive to get there but its well worth it. course is in great shape and for the price cant beat it!
Diablo Golf Day
Fun and Tough for an average weekend hacker. It was fun, but I shot about 10 strokes higher due to it being a more challenging course than I am used to. The fun thing was that it was also a nicer course than I am used to.
Great course in beautiful scenery
I was hesitant to make the long drive out from San Francisco but after reading other reviews I booked a round. I'm glad a did. The course is nestled between rolling hills and is very picturesque. The course was in great shape with quick greens and decent tee boxes. The staff were also very friendly.
With included range balls and well priced green fees this course is great value for money.
Amazing Deal
I paid $63.98 for two with a cart and got a 8:30am tee time normally you would pay $70 per person. When we arived we went into the club house to check in when i told them my name with no hesitation he handed me a key and said have a good time their was abssolutly no hassle at all. The cart was ready to go even with a ice chest full of ice. This is the most amazid deal i have ever got!!
Beautiful Views!
This course is a feast for the eyes ... the setting is absolutely beautiful. The course, however, is very challenging .. at least for my husband and I who are older and not long ball hitters. As a female who doesn't hit the ball far, I really appreciated the Red Tees. I would not have been able to reach many of the fairways otherwise. My husband did have difficulty reaching some of the fairways from the white tees but the two younger men we played with had no problem. There were some strange holes out there but all in all a very enjoyable experience. Definitely NOT BORING!!
The course is visually pleasing
The staff was very accomadating, polite , and informative.
They make the outing very pleasuable and I highly recommend this course
Best deal for the money in Central Valley.
Played several times, always friendly staff, great condition, good test of golf, views are fantastic.
fun in the hills
really a fun, challenging course. puts a premium on shot selection and ball position on the green due to the sloping greens.
Challenging but open enough for the average golfer. Bunkers could use a little attention.
Best course for the value that I have played! Also, restaurant food and drink are outstanding! If you have not played here, you are missing out on a great experience!
cart problems
cart battery went dead made it a vary long round. seen at least 5 or 6 other carts being replaced.
Nice but a bit far
Nice course, very quiet, played a bit slow on the back nine as groups were backed up in front of us. I don't know if that is normal. 5-10 minute waits to tee off on several of the last holes. The course was in good shape as were the greens. I would play again for the right price. My only knock to the course is the location which is pretty far away from everything except Patterson which itself is pretty far away from everything. Also no AT and T cell phone coverage once you leave I-5
One of the best I played
Diablo Grande is a beautiful course. Excellent conditions. Very challenging, yet plenty of scoring opportunities. Enjoyed this course and was worth the drive from San Jose. Will return many times.
Well placed bunkers and quick greens make it a challenge for all!
As always really enjoyed playing Diablo Grande. Conditions were a bit soggy in spots due to recent rains, but overall not to bad
Always a great time to be found here.
You can not go wrong at Diablo Grande. The food is also really good.
Very playable and greens were rolling terrific!
Got a great deal through GolfNow. Course is very playable, greens roll very well. Normally is pretty windy in the area. Facility has 2 courses, this one is out away from the houses and I feel is the easier fo the 2, but still a stern test from the back tees.
Great deal on good course
Despite LOTS of recent rain, the course was in good shape. Greens surprisingly fast even after rains of late. Traps wet and sand heavy, but that will improve as weather warms and the course dries out a bit. Wet, cold , . . plays longer than you think. Take an extra club on uphill approaches. Great value and really accommodating staff. Barkeep makes a great Bloody Mary.
