Decent course, inexpensive
Tees and fairways are in average, decent condition. The greens however, are another story. Crab grass has all but taken over most greens. The bunkers are hard dirt, not sand. We were either waiting for several groups ahead of us or being pushed by groups behind us. The price is cheap and based on course conditions, you can see why. Shame because this could be a really decent course
Decent inexpensive course, but needs a LOT of work
This is a decent, fun course but the greens in particular are in horrendous shape. 4 holes the greens were so bad that they created "temporary" greens by mowing the grass in front of the greens close and installing a temporary hole. You were basically putting on the fairway that was inundated by crab grass. Crab grass was taking over a lot of the greens and there were large bare spots also on a lot of the greens. The bunkers are simply hard packed dirt, not sand. Was it worth $20pp with cart? Yeah, I suppose. According to one of the course marshals that we ran into, he said the owners don't want to spend any money on the course until they get some players to come. But players aren't coming due to the conditions of the course. Catch 22 I suppose.
My Mom
My mom told me if you couldn’t say something good______.
ST. Andrews Review
Great course for the price paid and very nice Greens but sand traps need work
golf now rates are great! fun course to play.
the course is fun for all levels of play.
Real value for the money
Course in good condition for time of year, Greens especially.
Course could use some work
The course is in need of improvements.
great hidden value
great staff... only issue is a few of the traps are not good and marked as FUR. fix stay out of them.. I like playing there..
A Okay!
I went to this course to fulfill my journey or attempt at playing every course possible in Georgia. I did not expect to like it at all. I found the course to be playable from the white tees, I played alone was moving pretty swift there were some foursome out there that let me play through. The holes are straight forward not to many surprises. Greens were fair.
Lots for your money
The course was in pretty good shape. It wasn't overbooked and we enjoyed a leisurely round of golf. Lots of playing for the money.
Horrible cousre
The course was in horrible shape and the rate was $32 for a week day lol. The tee box on the par 3's were sand as if I was warming up on the driving range. A few of the fairways were filled with rocks and tree roots. I took pictures to post online, but this review site doesn't allow for pictures. I will post them to golf now, so you can view them there. This course was truly a joke for the rate.
Hard as a rock.
Got to the course early (40 min) to warm-up on the range and putting green. Bought a small bucket of balls in the pro shop and went to the range. Got to the range and the starter told me that the range was closed. I said no one told the pro shop. they were cutting the grass. Isn't that something that is suppose to happen early in the am and not at noon? Went to the putting green and one of the workers said he needed to close at least half of the putting green to water it. I should have just gone home. He needed to be watering the tee boxes because the were so hard that you had a difficult time getting a tee in. You needed a drill. A hammer would have just broken the tee. The fairways were so hard that hitting them was like hitting the cart path and your ball was likely to take a wild bounce which happened several times. I normally like this course but i am considering not playing here for a while and try some other courses in the area.
Coming Along
Course has excellent greens & fairways are decent @80% but should be fully grown in within a couple weeks with a little rain.
Wet Your Towel
This time of year I suppose hard to find grass in the fairway. Please be sure to wet your towel to clean the Ga Clay off your clubs. Green where being treated like everyone else around this time of year; so don't expect to make any one putt. I'll wait awhile before I decide to go back to play again.
Great overall track for the price
Greens were being aerated so no 1 putts right now. But great track other wise.
Decent course in average shape. Some fun holes!
I've played this course many times along with the other West GA courses. St. Andrews has some really cool and fun holes.
I play courses for the condition though, I won't go back to a course if it is in terrible shape. St. Andrews has really nice greens, fairways are not the best though. Overall the course is definitely in playable shape.
There are a lot of regulars there, some can be pretty rude.
Staff is always very friendly. Pace of play is often an issue here.
This course compete with others in the area
The course management should require golf attire. 25% of players show up and play wearing Jeans non-golf attire. Why have that rule posted and not honor it?
