Over priced, unfriendly and slow greens
The title says it all. Club house staff is never friendly and for the price they charge throughout the year they really should be!
Afternoon round
It was an enjoyable experience. The weather was great. The course had nobody on it. We just played at our own pace. The course was in great shape! Greens were very slow but that’s how it usually is in the summer. Would recommend for anyone to go play this course.
Hot hot hot
The course was very nice. There wasn’t much cover from the sun in the heat of the summer so it was very hot in the summer heat but the course was beautiful and challenging in a good way.
Great course!! Was really hot that day but the cloud cover saved us on the back nine 😀
Nice Track, Slow Greens
The course layout is challenging but fair. Fairways and rough are in very good condition and the carts/GPS were great. The driving range and practice green were in nice shape. It is mid-July and very hot out there so the greens may need to stay a bit furry...not sure...but I do know they were slow. I do recommend this course to my friends when they are down in Naples.
Not sure why they charge so much!
This was our first time playing at the Lely course. We had paid to play the Flamingo but it was too wet and they suggested we play Mustang instead otherwise we would have had to play cart path only (it was a very hot day). In season they ask an awful lot to play this course and as we live close by we figured we'd give it a try in the low season when the rates were more reasonable. I have to say, I don't get it. The conditions were poor. The fairways and the greens were burnt up. The grounds were wet. And the course itself is a very easy lay out. I'd say this for the course it's pretty in some areas. But, overall I don't see the fuss. It's not worth it.
Nice course
this is the first time I played the course and it was fun. Wide fairways and nice sightline. The team was helpful and friendly. Good price through Golf Now!
Good bones
Greens were very slow, Trent Jones Sr is one of the best but mowing patterns have altered greens and made them smaller that he intended course needs a makeover. Still decent but not exceptional and it could be
Great condition
Course was in great shape when I went, greens rolled well and tee boxes were perfect. Paid $90 for the summer morning rate which seems far enough. Biggest issue with the course was the lack of water stations throughout!
Unsure
Was not what I had expected—-played mustang last year and it was great- but Flamingo not so —not a bad course but not good either
