Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club sits amongst the nature preserves that reside along Choctawhatchee Bay, enjoying scenic views and a beautiful landscape. Robert C. Walker, Arnold Palmer's former lead architect, designed the course. Water comes into play throughout in the form of sparkling blue lakes and meandering streams. The most memorable use of water comes is on the challenging 16th hole. This tricky par 4 has water to the left as well as a marsh area crossing the fairway. Being so close to the water, the golf course is often subject to strong prevailing winds. Despite its many challenges, Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club is a fair challenge that players of all skill levels can enjoy, which is perhaps why it has been called one of North America's top courses by Golf Digest.

Great greens
Nice course to play and good layout. Greens in great shape and fast but don’t hold well even when wet so play for them to roll after landing. A bunch of difficult areas (traps waste areas) to carry for the novice golfer so be prepared is you are a novice player.

Great Golf Day
The reception was friendly and the rate reasonable. The course is challenging and fun to play. We played with a player who frequents the course and he provided some good tips and advice. If he had not been with us we would have not scored as well because of the tricky fairways. The guys helped us with our clubs after the round and were very friendly and helpful.

Best course in Destin
This was by far the best course in Destin that I’ve played so far. The course layout is very challenging, yet still able to post a decent score. #18 is a great layout and nice finishing hole. Staff in the pro shop and the bar were very friendly! Will visit again!

The only negative was the dormant grass, but that's mother nature. Back 9 (for me) was much more difficult than the front 9, but I am not a good golfer
