Scenic Hills Country Club
About
Unlike many other courses in the state, Scenic Hills Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of rolling hills. In addition to the dramatic elevation changes throughout the course, the holes are sharply framed by towering pines that line the fairways. The holes play to generous putting surfaces that provide a variety of hole placements, but its best to play to the middle of the greens since there are strategically placed bunkers guarding all of the greens. Water hazards also come into play on six holes, but they require only minimal forced carries. Scenic Hills C.C. opens with what is arguably its most challenging holes. The par-4 hole plays downhill to a green that is not only protected on both the left and right with bunkers, but there is also a steep-faced bunker that is not visible from the fairway.

Nice
Pace of play was a little slow. Couple of the green were in a little rough shape. However I’d definitely play it again. Come warmer months I think the issues on the troubled green will be solved.
Good layout. Looks like they are in the process of updating and renewing areas.
Older course that has a good layout. Friendly staff and good value. Looks like they are renovating some areas that were tired.
great layout but poor condition
was once a great course but has fallen into very poor condition.
DSW
The course was not in very good condition., especially the front nine. Most greens had weed patches and bald spots covered in sand. The fairways and areas around the green on the back nine had more grass than on the front side. Accordingly, until the course conditions are improved, I would not recommend playing Scenic Hills. That said, the staff was very friendly and the off-course amenities were exceptional. I am looking forward to returning but will visit the course first to verity the conditions.
Not worth the cost
Fairways were almost bare. It was like hitting off cement. Greens O.K. Beautiful clubhouse.
Really poor shape
I have played this course over the years but this day will be my last. The course is in really bad shape. The greens are the only thing that is not bad. I am so disappointed. It used to be a good place to play. Don’t waste your money.
Dirt instead of grass
Nice track of course. Decent greens, bunkers. Vast areas off fairways and green aprons were mostly dirt. Not even suitable for practice. Nice people in charge. Off my list to return.
Grassless
This was by far the worst kept course I have ever played in Florida. The greens were Ok, but the rest of the course looked like it does not have any sprinkler system. In many places, there were large areas where there wasn't any grass at all, and where there was, it was like hitting off of cement. This however could be a very good course if it was taken care of.
Course is a nice track. Player management is nonexistent
We followed three twosomes and waited every shot. They hit extra balls and were clueless about their 30 second pre-shot routines taken each shot and unaware of where to drive or park a cart.
Need a ranger to educate your clientele. I suspect most of them were members or regulars who thought they owned the place.
Course conditions are OK. Greens are nice enough to putt with some degree of slope to make them challenging. Would have been an enjoyable round without all the putzes out there.
12
Had a group of 12 in front of us tee time was 12:37 started at 12:50 and then weren’t able to finish the day from the pace of the 12 in front of us
Nice course with fast greens
Play here once or twice a week. Course is in pretty good shape for winter. Greens are always fast which I like.
