What a great place.
Had the best round of golf in the most beautiful setting ever. I couldn't get over how clean and pristine the fairways and sandtraps were. Add the sunny day to top it off. Can't wait to bring our yearly tournament there.
Breathing course!
I recently got married so for our honeymoon we decided to go to Graeagle CA. My wife had never being golfing with me so I brought her along. I checked out golf now for reviews on many of the courses surrounding our area (which were a ton). Graeagle meadows had great reviews and a very good special going on. Wow! This golf course was amazing! The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! The course was challenging but the fairways were pretty generous. The only problem I had with the course was that they were irrigating the greens. Which made putting almost impossible. They are some challenging par 3's but nothing to get worried about. Also watch out for deers because this place is covered with them! Even my wife loved this course. She must have taken about a million photos. So if you love nature and golfing this is a perfect course to come visit.
The scenery is superb
The course has many scenic views. Nestled in the pine trees with deer on the course, it provided a nice relaxing round.
Beautiful setting
Course was in good shape except for the greens which had been recently aerated and sanded. There was no aeration alert when tee time was made. Even so, the price was right.
Course has interesting history
We had a great time yesterday. The course was fun to play even though the greens were plugged. They seemed okay for plugged greens. Hard to determine correct yardage though. That isn't very well marked. Holes seemed longer then what my GPS said so we didn't go by the GPS yardage like normal. There were only 2 of us and we played a very fast round. The course is definitely challenging but absolutely beautiful surroundings. Go on-line and read the history of each hole. Fascinating!
Beautiful and playable
Course is in excellent shape. Greens are maybe as good as I have ever played. Staff was exceedingly welcoming. Course is open enough to be encouraging but difficult enough to be testy.
Graeagle Meadows
The weather was perfect and the course was in fantastic condition.
Friendly fairways - tough greens
We went off behind a tournament playing best ball. I have seen turtles move faster. Any we played the front nine twice, 2.5 hrs the first time and 1.15 hr the 2nd.
The course is in excellent shape, wide fairways, some really tough greens that are hard to read. Tip - putts tend to break to the River.
Great Sierra Golf
Absolutely fantastic fall day in the Sierras, perfect weather actually. They've really improved this golf course, especially the greens. Very little development except along the first hole. So the scenery is spectacular. The Feather River comes in play on several holes, and mountain scenery surrounds the course. The deer are common-place, and wanted us to feed them apples from the trees on the course. Very scenic dining area. All in all, a great affordable, playable and scenic course. The Golf Now discount was huge, over half off.
Beautiful setting
A very beautiful setting and a challenging but fun course. Nice elevation changes, great views from several tee boxes. Will definitely play there again.
Excellent mountain venue
Couldn't have had a better day.
Paired with a couple from the bay area and a single from reno. The local deer population didn't mind where we were from. Great golf day... course in top condition....
Well conditioned course
This is a well conditioned and playable course. The opening hole is probably the most difficult on the course because of water to the right of the landing area and the best tee shot is either right along the left tree line or a draw. The fourth hole is the number one hole on the course. Stay away from the right side of the fairway and hit left of the barber pole that is @ 150 yards from the green. Course condition has improved over the last 5 years. Number 8 hole is a par 3 uphill into the wind (that is usually blowing into your face.) Remember the wind comes up in the afternoon so on the back 9 numbers 13 and 14 the drives are into the wind. Overall a very playable and enjoyable course.
This court is good
Will come back to golf. Please send me tee times discount and court news
Great location and setting
Decent course and great views of the valley until you get to the greens. There are a lot of pine needles that have fallen from the trees. Good luck putting. Staff at golf pro shop seemed stuck up and had their nose high in the air. Food was ok, but way overpriced for the quality.
Beautiful Course
We played 18 holes and had a wonderful time. The course is well maintained, beautiful, challenging and we enjoyed the wildlife. It was quiet and awesome. We will play again. Very nice course. You won't be disappointed.
greens and fairways in great shape
nice course with open fairways, greens running true at about a 10
Better than I recalled
I last played here about 15 years ago and didn't remember it as anything special. I am glad I gave it another go. The course was in fine shape and both more interesting and more challenging than I remembered...not particularly long, but long enough to bring out the occasional long iron or hybrid. The greens were fairly fast and had enough contour to make them harder-than-average to putt. It won't overwhelm you, but it will get your full attention.
excellent
Excellent Bob is great and an excellent instructor
