another day of great golf
Great day of golf awesome course and great staff want to do it again.
Nice course
The golf shop pro was reluctant to let me go out early because I booked it with Golf.com,, even tho the 1st tee was empty for at least 45 min.
He finally did and it was great. I had the best wrap Ive ever had at the restaurant,,,bufflalo chicken. I had to tell the cook
Fun Golf course
Very nice course with some interesting holes. I played from the white tees and even at 6800 feet it played long. The fairways played very soft.
Awesome Course
Myself and a friend, while on vacation in Tahoe made the drive up. We were questioning ourselves driving that far, but once we pulled in, we were no longer questioning our decision. Beautiful course. There were times we would stop talking and just enjoy the silence. This was one of our top 3 golf experiences.
Graeagle - 7/31/2014
Great course. However I picked a thunderhead/rain day and had to terminate my 18 hole experience mid-way thru due to the downpour/hail. However, I have played this course before and it's in excellent condition and well maintained.
great features
lots of wildlife, wonderful views, course in great condition
Beautiful setting
A well laid out course in a beautiful setting. Except for two holes, we moved along steadily.
Velvet Greens and wonderful mountain views
This was a great course to play. It was my first time at this facility. I had taken a golf school at WhiteHawk and wanted to try Greagle Meadows. It was worth the drive from Truckee. I was paired with another single and it was an enjoyable round. Pace of play was fast like I like it. Nobody was in front of us as we were the first people out that morning. The course is in good shape and the greens were true.
I will be going back again when the deals pop up on GolfNow. The Proshop has reasonable merchandise and there are good practice areas to warmup. My only issue was practice balls were not included in the price of the round. I had to purchase too many balls for a warmup for $6.00 I ended up sharing them with the person I was paired with.
Need some water over hear!!!
The course was in great shape!! Would like to see more drinking water on the course.
Great Graegle
I've played Plumas Pines many times and love Graeagle so much but this is my first experience at the Meadows. Wow is it beautiful and challenging, imaculatly groomed. Got to start on the back as the first group off at 8:00, Wow what a day
This is what golf is supposed to be!
I've been lucky to play here a few times over the years living only an hour away. Each time I return I think "why don't I play here more?". We were a twosome but got paired with two more enthusiasts. The pace of play was perfect, we were alone as we were started off the back due to maintenance, but when nobody pushes you or slows you down, awesome! The course was in great condition and we hardly ever saw any ground screw. No noisy mowers or blowers to distract from the experience. Can't wait to go back and only hope it's the same result.
This course is awesome!
I've played this course several times over the last 20 years and I still absolutely love it! We drove from Sacramento to play, just over two hours, but it was well worth the drive. My buddy had never played the course before and he now agrees - the course is worth the effort. If the course were closer to home, I'd be a member and/or playing it all the time!
Graeat day at Graeagle Meadows
Buddy and I went up there to try a new course and were not disappointed. We did an early special off of Golf Now and ended up getting both of us on for less than the cost of one normal green fee. Things were a tad damp the first few holes because it was so early, but after that it was a perfect golf day. Facilities were clean and had everything needed, pricing on items in the pro shop were good.
We didn't stop at the restaurant at all, though we saw quite a few people eating there, so our guess was it's probably pretty good.
Most of the holes are moderate to somewhat easy, a few are fairly difficult, and a couple of them are really fun because of the layout (massive tee off drop from the Blues, etc).
We will definitely go up there again at some point. 100% recommend playing here, especially if you can get a good deal on it.
Great Course
Graeagle is in perfect condition!!! Even in a drought year, there are zero dead spots in any green/fairway. This is a flat course that can be walked. Great for those trying to improve their game. Again, the grass is perfect!!
Very peaceful beautiful weather not too many people
The Meadows is always fun golf now.com 22 bucks can't beat it
Greens
I've played this course for thirty years and I never considered the greens as the most outstanding aspect of the course. Well, for the last few years and even already this early in the season they are nearly perfect.
Great GolfNow bargain
Course in very good shape, very friendly. Enjoyed the day with golfing buddies.
Enjoyable golf experience
The grounds are well kept and the course is beautifully set against the mountains. Play flows nicely, and they have reasonably priced greens fees. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Have not played for 25 years
At one time this was my favorite make the drive once or twice a year special course. I haven't made the drive for 25 years, and it was well worth the trip, I think I'll make it again this summer. This was the first time I used a cart which is okay. If you can walk it ,do, it's a beautiful walk and walking you can really soak in the view. As far as the shape of the course, in two weeks it will be there. The carts are old school no club-cleaners, no coolers, no GPS. As far as the course gorgeous.
