Pine Creek Golf Course
About
Located east of Nashville in Mount Juliet, Pine Creek Golf Course claims to have the most well maintained greens in the area as well as some of the most affordable rates. The layout offers different challenges on the front and back nines for a diverse round. The first nine are links holes that tumble across rolling terrain while the back nine has a more traditional design with tighter fairways that require greater accuracy and strong iron play. The signature hole is the par-3 sixth, a hole generously framed with trees that crosses a large water hazards. It is a fair test for players of all skill levels but it was also designed with playability in mind. More seasoned golfers will find many risk-reward opportunities but beginners the forced carries won't punish beginners.

Fun Course with Fast Greens
My friends and I were on vacation in Tennessee and were pleasantly surprised by this course.
The golf carts (often your first impression of a course) were really nice (appeared new with really comfortable seats). They also had water bottles and towels in the cart for each person.
There was no starter so the Pro Shop attendant told us to just go ahead and tee off. His only advice was stay out of the rough (that seems to be what every starter at a course tells you when you ask for advice but this time it was true because the rough was very thick).
The pace of play was good for most of the round (we really only had to wait on the 17th and 18th hole). My friend was annoyed that so many singles were playing (and being good golfers we always offered to let them play through which slowed our round a bit but we were still done in just over 4 hours). They really should have put singles together but my guess is that it was later in the afternoon and guys just showed up to play.
The course was in very good shape but that may be partly because they have a 90 degree rule (not just that day but we saw permanent signs stating 90 degree).
The real challenge of the course was the speed of the greens - really, really fast. It was hard to have your approach shot stay on the green which was surprising given how wet the fairways were from all the rain earlier in the week. So no roll in the fairways but the ball released too much on greens.
We played on a Monday afternoon so I can't speak for pace of play on the weekend but I would recommend this course based on the fun layout.
Needs a lot of maintenance
Was visiting the area and wanted to squeeze 9 holes in. Staff was friendly and generous enough to let me play without a tee time. I liked the course layout but the grounds need a lot of caretaking. Dead grass throughout and ground was hard as a rock, couldn't get anything off the ground. This could be a beautiful course if it was take care of.
Nice course but slightly overpriced
I have played this course many times over the years. They have the price point too high. It is a good course but it shouldn’t be more than $50 for a round including the cart.
Pace of play is terrible.
I play this course often and pace of play is always bad, but it was absolutely terrible on NY Eve.
Paid for 18 holes and left after 9 because it was so bad. Course is in decent shape though, so if you don’t mind slow play then you should be fine.
Bad Timing
This is typically a good course. They charged full price on a day where 2 different par 3s were blocked off and not playable due to “course under repair”. I assume they are trying to get those specific greens back in good shape but if that is the case, be honest with your customers prior to the round beginning and discount the round. I paid to play 18 holes and only played 16.
Good muni course
A good municipal course, grass was in fair shape for late November. Some tee boxes a bit rough. #15 green closed, using temp.
Fun course
I have played here many times over the last 20 years. The greens were in the best shape ever with just the right amount of speed. There was one green that wasn’t in play (hole 15). On hole 12 it looked like the green hasn’t been mowed in over a week. No mention of this at the pro shop. Given the lack of rain for 3 months, the rest of the course was good, not great. I still enjoyed the course.
Not worth the price
Course layout is decent but not hard. Both greens on back 9 par threes were terrible. Number 12 looked like it hadn't been mowed for 2 weeks and 1/3 of the green was roped off. Number 15 was on a temporary mowed area in the fairway, nowhere near playable. Hacked me off that we had to pay full price for the conditions. We won't be back anytime soon.
Great Course
This course has a great layout. One of my favorites. It is always in great shape and the staff has always been friendly.
Out of Town Golf
We play all over the US while traveling. This is a nice course that is well taken care of. Some of the fairways are close so watch out for balls coming from the neighboring hole. It was a bit slow but not terrible. 1 of the bathrooms out on the course was a mess due to an overflowing toilet. The price was a little high so try to get the discount times if possible. I would have been disappointed if we paid full price.
Enjoyable course
Course is in very good shape. While there are a few problems with conditions, they are obviously working hard to improve. Overall though, the course is in very good shape. Next time I'm in the area, I would love to play this course again. Fun layout for all skill levels.
Fun Layout
Overall conditions were very good. Greens rolled well but very slow, not unexpected for bentgrass during the peak of summer. Fairways were generally in very good condition and the rough is long enough to make you consider your shot but not punitive. Thoroughly enjoyed the layout ; played every club in the bag. Will definitely be back!
Nice course
I played well the greens were slow took some getting used to but overall had fun even a adult bev girl came around my group will b back a little hike from Spring Hill but worth it
