Do you like crab grass and fairways that are dirt? Then this is the course for you.
No matter where I hit the ball, in the rough, in the fairway I did not encounter a single good lie. Half of the fairways are made of crab grass and most of them have gigantic areas, where the fairway should be, that are just baron wasteland style pits of dirt. The greens were the only semi-decent part of this course. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was the greens and the pace of play. If you want to play quick(my round was 3 hours tops) then this might be the course for you, otherwise don't waste your money. A course that doesn't care for it's grass is a course that doesn't deserve your money.
Over priced
Way over priced and poorly manicured. You don’t get rewarded for hitting a fairway, dirt patches everywhere…greens are never cut and overgrown..the price to play here is comparable to Chardonnay and Eagle Vines and those two courses in so much better shape overall…for the cost here it doesn’t make sense why the conditions are so poor unless management just doesn’t care…either way go play Chardonnay or Eagle Vines over this place.
Very overpriced for a mu i
Bad fairways. Unmaintained bunkers and very slow greens. This place used to be very good and a very good value. Now, not so much. They should take a lesson from the Fairfield Muni’s on how to run and maintain a golf course
Paradise
Johnny Blacked out. It was a blast. I Threw up on 12!
Epic Day!!!
Not a Napa jewel
Nice layout, but conditions were poor. Slow greens and very windy
Great Value
Some holes are out of shape but the rest of the course is awesome.
Save your time and money
Go elsewhere.. Two guys were there saying that the range had no balls dispensing and errors.. Grabbed a sandwich.. Pathetic like a gradeschool one.. Ripoff.. Really sad for it to be named for the region. Huge patches bare everywhere. Will not return.. Even if u payed me.
Making Golf Headway At Kennedy Park
Not one golf course in CA—NOT ONE—has come as far as Napa Kennedy Park in this drought ridden golf attrition time. They are to be commended for making this course green again. Hats off to management and especially maintenance and greens keeper crew for making it entirely playable and enjoyable. It’s no mirage. It’s truly a good course and always has been.
I’ve played USGA, PGA, and Senior PGA events these last few years that are in no better condition than Napa is in right now.
Greens are solid. Plenty of sand in traps. Tee boxes are good, flat, and grassy. In fact most fairways were in really good shape.
If it were me running the place. I’d put a lateral hazard down the middle at about 250-300 yards on hole 15 to stop some of the whining I see posted here with some reviews.
And who said the food was awful? I had the Cali chicken sandwich yesterday and it was delicious.
From the vistas and panoramas here at Kennedy Park, don’t underestimate the photo opportunities and embrace being in a wonderful nature preserve that is truly a good golf course.
Come and get it now, as it’s a wonderful time of year to enjoy this track. We all know that the 16 holes with lakes can become 160 lakes in the winter, or with rains, but that isn’t the case right now.
FORE! Look out for Napa Kennedy Park as it’s no too busy, not too swanky, and since it’s not $600 like pebble beach or a country club that’s out of reach, it’s value is noteworthy.
Good local course
Course was in good shape and even hole nine had dried out enough to be playable from the normal tees.
Bad shape
It started off being nicely maintained. But there is a stretch of holes on the back nine that we’re beyond terrible. Almost as if the course completely ignores the holes.
