Kenwanda Golf Course
About
Kenwanda Golf Course overlooks the Snohomish River Valley with views spanning the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. Located just 40 minutes north of Seattle, the course is one of the best golf values in the area. Ken and Wanda Harris built the course in 1967, which has since garnered a reputation as a great place to practice every aspect of your game. Though the layout is not a formidable test, you'll find challenging elements throughout, including hidden greens and sloped fairways that are lined with mature trees. The holes are long and hilly, making the golf course a bit tough to walk, but providing stunning views. Flat lies are hard to come by on the tough greens, which have tricky pin placements as well. Accuracy is key at Kenwanda Golf Course; if you can't keep it straight you might find yourself in the trees.

A course worth trying out.
The course is fairly short, but it has it's challenges. Trees line the fairways, while there is significant slope on every hole with small greens. The greens are in good shape, however, the fairways could use some attention. If you are lucky enough you will see deer on the course. All in all it is a great value if you can play here for a Hot Deal including cart, because although short it is a difficult walk.
OK for beginners
We played this late in the season on a rare sunny day after a week of rain. Greens were aerated and much of the course was "mushy" -- especially downhill on 7 and 11. As beginners, we found it friendly, good pace of play and moderately challenging. However, this course has many very challenging greens, despite the lack of bunkers. The fairways are difficult to distinguish from the rough in many places and overall it seems like the course could use some attention but that could be due to time of the year. However, the price was fantastic and the staff and other players were cordial and accommodating. I'd recommend this course but with the caveat that it's best to find a Hot Deal rather than paying full-price.
Fun beginner course
Course is hilly and requires driving accuracy to maintain low score. However, distance is short and driver is not needed for most of the holes. Greens are small and challenging.
Dont let this course fool you, its tough
Great short 18 hole course in a good location with many ways to get there. My wife and I played Monday morning, and there was only one other couple on the course and a few behind us as we got out. The course was muc
we\
h more challenging than anticipated. Though the fairways are easy to hit, if you do hit a little off, you will be ok most of the time, due to no deep rough. The fairways are very up and down and can cause a bad shot to be a good one or vice versa just through an unlucky bounce. I kinda like this though. The best and worst part of this course depending on what you like from golf, is the greens. Very small and hard to hit, most are hid from fairway due to being up and down from fairway. Making judging distance and club length tough for the first time on this course. The greens are tough, very tough slopes, and you can 3 putt easily if you dont read well. Overall great experience and will go back again.
Target golf...small greens
Course is not too hard...just tough in making sure you hit the greens as they are kind of on the small side.
Decent, friendly family owned course.
Wife and I got the Golf Now super bargain rate, making this a real bargain. Hilly, sloping, pretty well maintained family operation. Lots of side hill lies and some blind shots. If you can get on with a discounted price, makes a good family outing.
greens are low quality
greens r like thimbles hog backs two of the par 3s couldnt even see the pin! fairways need a kidney belt but its a diff kind of golf its fun but quality not!
Convenient locals course
I have been coming to this course now for the past couple of years. People are very nice and I am just about always able to get on the course when I want. My expectations are not that high for the price but have noticed more dirt on the fairways and very mixed drainage between holes. I will keep going and will recommend to others (with full disclosure) but really hope the conditions improve.
Ok for the money
Not well mowed, fairways hard to distinguish. Greens not good, value is OK for the money overall.
I will never pay play there again.
Tee boxes were in very poor shape, many had no level area and were in need of attention.
Fairways, had lots of bare spots and they did not look like they had been watered in a very long time (April ?). Most fairways consisted of hard-pan with very little grass, some had exposed rocks. I did not feel that I could take a divot with possible injury.
Most of the greens had been spiked, but no mention of this at the club house. Many of the green had bare spots and some had moss growing in them. Greens were in what I would call poor winter condition, yet it is August.
low end course
outside of the par five i didnt care for this course much, the cart paths were non existent, the fairways extremely undulating the greens either way to small, all or not maintained well, but there was three or four enjoyable holes , but for the money , its was an enjoyable course
Fun course.
Great course, super friendly staff and a very enjoyable time.
nice to play
it was nice to play golf and not haft to hurry.knowon in front of us or in back of us.
this course like many in Washington have to many washboard fairways.
have to many washboard fairways.needs better maintenance If they handed me a scorecard with out a map. They have no signs to show the way or paved paths . If it were not for the person us teamed up with. It would have been impossible .only by hit and miss my way around the course
Great Value
Fun course to play for 22.50 with a cart included on the weekends, easy to get an open spot. Tee boxes could use some attention.
can't beat the price
For the price that i paid ($10-14 for 18 holes), its a good little 18-holer course. You cannot expect a beautiful, pristine course for that price so Im extremely happy that there is a course close by i can work on my game inexpensively. its maintained min-normal, its not fine grass and some greens have dead spots (they just put down fertilizer it looks like so that should be fixed Im assuming) but all in all, i will be back a few more times for sure.
Nice natural turf course, plenty of slope greens average speed.
This is a good course for all levels of golf. We play a 4some with a junior and a novice and still finished in a reasonable time . Course has plenty of slope go provide good challenge to the game. All in all we had a great day of golf in the Pacific Northwest. I gave this a good rating only because it is more natural turf where I am more accustomed to well manicured Bermuda grass or blue grass. But I would be happy to play this course again when I'm in the area.
Course was a little beat up, very hilly, and challenging despite few hazards.
Course was kept up, but not equally, some holes needed more attention than others. Very hilly which was fine, but driving a cart was difficult due to no real cart path. Par 3's were very challenging. Very few bunkers and hazards, but the difficulty lies in the slopes and hills on the course. Overall fun course, but a little run down and not very pretty.
Lovely evening golf
Our late tee-time ensured no crowds on the course, and beautiful weather made the experience even better. The cost is very reasonable. The greens needed some repair, and the gophers need to be under control, but overall a nice experience, especially with the price paid!
Don't bring your driver
Looking for warmup round at decent price. Price was good but this course doesn't allow you to play your game at all. Fairways are in decent shape, unless your driving a cart and then the bumps will jar your teeth loose. Not a smooth spot anywhere. The greens are all the size of an average swimming pool with the contours of the "ant hill" hole at mini golf.
