Kenwanda Golf Course
About
Kenwanda Golf Course overlooks the Snohomish River Valley with views spanning the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges. Located just 40 minutes north of Seattle, the course is one of the best golf values in the area. Ken and Wanda Harris built the course in 1967, which has since garnered a reputation as a great place to practice every aspect of your game. Though the layout is not a formidable test, you'll find challenging elements throughout, including hidden greens and sloped fairways that are lined with mature trees. The holes are long and hilly, making the golf course a bit tough to walk, but providing stunning views. Flat lies are hard to come by on the tough greens, which have tricky pin placements as well. Accuracy is key at Kenwanda Golf Course; if you can't keep it straight you might find yourself in the trees.

Kenwanda GC Test's Your Golf Skills
Kenwanda challenges every aspect of your game. Tee shots must be placed on the correct side of the fairway. Approach shots are to target greens, with lots of character. Playing Kenwanda has made me a better golfer.
Fun beginner course
Course was nice. Greens ran a little fast and the fairway was pretty choppy at some points. Staff was supper friendly, and the play went along at a great pace. I would recommend and play again.
Good greens but...
I enjoyed playing this course but I found that the dips and bumps on the fairways not only made riding a power cart very bumpy but it made for some rather interesting ball bounces. Land in one spot and watch your ball bounce hard left and if the ball had been 18 inches to the left it would have bounced hard right. I'll definitely play this course again but it would be more appealing if the fairway surfaces were less bumpy and dippy.
Laboring Day
While I didn't do much to help myself there are a few pins out of sight so check out the course info pre-shot. Nice people -play this course.
Hilly back 9
Great course for the money. Long holes. Pretty hilly. Especially the back 9. We walked it. Next time I would definitely ride. Nice views. No hard liquor so no Bloody Marys. Had to make due with beer. Rough life.
Great price--fair conditions
This course was ok. Great price, but the overall conditions of the fairways were pretty poor. The whole course really needs to be leveled out. When you hit it in the middle of the fairway, your ball can kick in any direction due to the bumpiness of it. I was riding in a cart and almost chipped a tooth is was so rough. Greens were in good shape though.
This is a fun n friendly course
I have golfed here 20+ times and always though Golf Now. For me it is close by, friendly and fun. The staff are great and I will continue to golf here! Bill
Good practice course
Good course greens are a little difficakte cause they are never flat and pin placement is challenging.
If you want to be punished
If you want tee boxes that are about half grass, If you want fairways so bumpy and hilly that you have to drive so slow with a cart the walkers pass you up. If you want several blind holes where the gree is not visible even for the approach shot, and if you want greens so slow with heavy grain that putting is totally unpredictable, this is the course for you.
Great value, nice view
We arrived early and the staff was very friendly and informative. Everyone on the course was friendly and our round was right at 3 hours. Although a shorter distance course, the greens are small so accuracy counts. The only suggested improvement might be to level out the fairways a bit.
Father's Day Outing
Got to the course early and due to the potentially rainy weather was able to tee off early. Started to rain part way through the front 9, but not heavily. Front nine has better drainage and so the greens and fairway were not greatly impacted. Back nine, especially 12 has a lot of very wet ground which makes it tough to find your ball as they do get plugged. Greens can be tough as several are undulating and make putting a challenge. Started raining steadily on our last 4 holes, but no issues with the course. Pace of play was fine, a there was a foursome in front and another behind but never had to wait, or hold up play.
Awesome
For the money this is a great course. You can generally get on anytime. The staff is consistent and friendly. I frequent this course regularly and will continue to do so.
well maintained fairways and rough
It's hard to lose a ball on this course, which for me is a good thing. Even if you hook or slice, you can still find it, because the rough is kept short. That said, you might hit trees if you don't keep it very straight. A few blind spots, where you have to trust your yardages, because you can't see the green. Great tips on the score card for each hole.
Fun - cheap
I think they should start rebuilding this course. A great piece of property. It was built in the 60's and it need some up dates.
Quaint course
Kenwanda is a quaint course and a little study of it's history reveals why. Better maintenance can make it great. The drainage on much of the #13 fairway is so poor it's a marshland that cannot be mowed. Making a stream, cutting across the fairway, would be a potential easy and cheap solution.
Kenwanda overpriced
I enjoy playing kenwanda however for the fees they are charging especially the cart rates which are outrageous they had be taking way better care of the course to charge those prices.
Greens are riddled with divots, 1 out of every 3 fairways was either long grass, mud, or tree branches littered everywhere.
Definitely slacking on the maintenance and greens keeping and ovetcharging for the product they are offering
Close to home
I play Kenwanda pretty regularly as its only 5 minutes from my house.
Its a short course, but the terrain and small greens make it a bit difficult to score well on.
It can be soggy at different times of the year, but that's pretty common for a course in Western Wa.
Kenwanda
Short interesting course. Some odd green locations due to terrain, but still a fun go around.
This course is a challenge, but the greens are a bit fast also.
This cousre will make any golf day a better one, with the challanging tress, uneven terrain and always thick grass will allow you to use all the talent possible to make the great score happen.
