Enjoyed the golf experience
Had a great day at Indian Hills. Course was in great condition and the staff was very friendly. The new simulator room is excellent.
Sim Room
The course is getting better every time I play they are making noticeable improvements. I also played 18 holes in their Full swing sim room. It was great!
Another Slow Round at Indian Hills
Spending 4:45 minutes to play 18 in perfect conditions as the 5th or 6th group (7:45 am) out is completely unaccaptable. Never saw a marshall the entire round... Cannot stand slow play.
There is a section where the houses are really close. We lost several balls there. You can’t get your ball even if it is really close to you,
Several areas where you have to leave your cart on the path. Sucks when your chipping game needs work so you have to carry three or four clubs with you
Shame on me
Every time I come to this course I regret it. They’ve finally got it in decent shape and now can’t manage pace of play. Played 3 holes in an hour last week and called it quits when we saw 3 separate groups waiting to tee off on #4. Today wasn’t much better, called it quits after 10 which took right at 3 hours. I live 1/4 mile from the course and I’m one more bad round away from never coming back.
Nice course great staff
This course is a very nice course nestled in Murfreesboro. some of the houses are pretty close but all in all it's a good place to get out and play. some trouble which can be fun to navigate.
Very displeased with this management
Scheduled tee times to close to each other. Also making people pair up to make 4 people per team time is ridiculous.
This course sucks.
Course conditions are usually terrible. Not a single tee box is level, and rarely mowed to proper height. Greens, which should be perfect in the summer (they are Bermuda grass) are awful. Staff seems like they have better things to do, and don't really care about the course or it's customers. And, finally, they layout isn't very good. Too many dumb holes, and the houses are too close to the course.
Course Improvement
Indian Hill Golf Course like many others has suffered from adverse weather conditions. Having said that the maintenance crew has worked diligently to improve. If current efforts remain, this golf course will earn 4.5 stars as compared to others in the area. Keep up the good work.
Whoops
I played this course approximately 10 years ago. I completely forgot about it, and for good reason. Tucked between large beautiful homes, you’d think this course to be plush and well taken care of. Nah. Improper drainage throughout the course makes it soggy after any type of rain. Weeds everywhere. Greens recently sanded with no discount for the inability to putt , which is a pretty crucial part of the golfing experience. If grounds crew managed the course better, or had more money to manage it better, it would be worth a try. I likely will never be back.
Good value, surprisingly busy
Very hilly, cart path only, tee boxes could use some love, but course was in good shape overall. Houses very close to fairway on a few holes (hit one roof, thankfully no windows).
Went as a solo midday on a Friday and was surprised how busy it was; quickly got stuck behind a threesome & immediately in front of a two-some. But good day overall.
Unique?
Course is in better condition than a month or 2 ago but they still have a ways to go. If you like putting into square holes or searching through MOUNDS AND MOUNDS of grass clippings then this course is for you.
Old fort discounted their rates while they were reconditioning their course and Champions run shut down in order to provide people with a decent place to play golf. Indian hills has done neither.
