West at Jacaranda Golf Club

Really nice course. Challenging from the forward tees making it fun. Great staff! Greens were in great shape, fairways were in good shape. Will make it a regular playing spot!

Played here on a beautiful day with hardly anyone playing cause of corona cancellations. The course was fantastic except some of the greens had some brown which did not effect the putting at all they said it was due to some colder weather then usual over winter. Would come back here without hesitation

Still one of the best conditioned public courses in broward county. Conditions of the course were mostly perfect. 1 or 2 tee boxes need help. Greens rolling slow for Jacaranda but are in good shape. Fairways, rough and bunkers are as expected.
Usually the starters are on top of things. We started the day with 3 groups on the first hole and it stayed that way the entire round. Made it impossible to get any kind of rhythm. Saw a ranger on 9, said he would do something but it never changed. Cart girl was very nice and saw her 3 times.

The fairways and tee boxes were in excellent condition, but I was disappointed in some of the green that had some "burned" or diseased spots, In addition, the bunkers I encountered (thankfully not many!) had more stones and other debris than sand... so much that I was concerned about damaging my club! I was paired with another single player and a twosome of ladies... all quite congenial so it was a fun round.

Pros, the course, the starter
Cons: the traps poorconditions, the 4 soemin front being slow and unrespectfull to the course and marshall doing nothing

The easier of the two sides but don't underestimate the West Course. A solid test of golf awaits on a very attractive course. The greens didn't look great (a little burnt looking) but rolled well. Fairways are lush and ball doesn't get very dirty on this course as there are few sand spots. A little expensive but worth the extra investment. In a region of diminishing golf courses Jacaranda is still a solid track

Starter has to deal with too much. Line up bottleneck just to get balls from him to take to range. Have to come back to starter after. One starter for two courses. Sent us out right behind group in front. Should have 10 minute times. No Marshall’s to help with pace of play. After nine as we were about to go to 10 we saw a new group had been inserted after the group we were following and before us. Waited 20 minutes on tenth tee. Most holes had three groups on them. Par 3’s had four groups on them. Quit after 11. Explained situation to pro shop. Ears were closed to the concerns expresed. Pro started his response: “Unfortunately...”. That was the last word I needed to hear. We left. Never to return. The group behind us also quit and followed us into the proshop expecting fair treatment. They expressed their disappointment again without any redress or apology. They also said they would never play it again. They were from Michigan. We are from Ontario.

I played de West Course, and the starter put me with 2 italian seniors golfers very friendly and a hcp 5 from New York, great 4some¡¡

Because an unusual windy and low temperture day, the course play different, but we started playing from the gold, from where its better no use the driver because of the doglegs with water, in some holes you will find problems, so in the back nine we changed to the tips, where you need a good driver against wind to let u a distance with irons...

The bunkers need some maintenance and the greens speed were at 10 aprox with different cuts..

I liked the ondulations on some greens and the protections around

Another fun day of golf. Staff and course excellent as always. Only negative was the foursome in front of us who apparently were only occasional golfers playing from back tees. Good grief. Took forever to pla:y. Need a course marshal.

Fairways... super grass...the best in the region!
Greens need more love! ...not the best lot of sand...(illness...) but good rolling true.

Played as threesome in under 4 hours. The only reason not a 5 is greens need a little work. Little slow and inconsistent. Otherwise excellent!

It’s a fun course. Greens are a little rough but everything else is great. Played a 3 hr. 15 min round which is unheard of in season
