The Cat’s not Crooked
This course is a joy to play, and many courses in the area would learn from a round at Crooked Cat that you don’t need hugely sloping greens to provide golfers of all standards with a fair, but difficult challenge. All the bunker and greens were in great condition and the whole place runs like clockwork. Marshalling is both proactive and reactive and the whole experience was a joy.
Great Course, Challenging layout, fast and true greens- go try it!!
Good course really slow play
The course was really good but teeing of at 2:09 and you can’t even finish around of golf is pretty sad na marshals to spend things up over booking tee times
Crooked Cat is one of my favorites in the area. The greens were a little slower than usual but the course is in great shape. Challenging layout that is very fair because all the trouble is readily apparent. The staff is friendly and the pace of play is excellent. Overall, you can’t do any better than OCN’s two courses!
Not best organized, horrible pace… but a nice track
There were no carts at the bag drop, Got an old one after some waiting, but the battery was empty on the first hole already! Had to wait for change, but it was done pretty fast – good luck a player’s assistant passed by on the first hole.
Played as foursome and pace was really very bad – almost five hours!!! The course is in very good condition, though some places on fairways may need attention. Greens, bunkers and tee boxes well playable.
But overall the above mentioned problems destroyed a possibly pleasant round…
If you’ve not been here you must try this ..... we’ve played here for about five years when vacationing in the area. I’ve been lucky enough to play golf around the world and value for money v course condition this is one of the best I’ve ever played ... so much so we are playing the sister course AGAIN tomorrow ... let’s start from the outset ... guys in the pro shop are great , restaurant staff really friendly ... guys on the bag stand and starting superb ...and the course ... well we were lucky today first out as a twosome and played in three hours taking our time. Tee boxes ...all in great shape and lots to choose from - rough all cut to a great height. Fairways mint condition and greens even though they had granular fertiliser on them still rolled beautifully...bunkers excellent ....all in all a great day out. Keep it up and pass on our compliments to the course superintendent
A perfect early morning round
A+ all-around! I was on a family trip and managed to sneak away for a bit of early morning golf action. I couldn't have asked for better conditions.
The Greens were so bumpy. Need a sand dressing at very lease
Love this course!
The courses at Orange County National are among my favorites!
Love playing at OCN!
Love playing at OCN. Both the courses here are fantastic. Had a great time playing Crooked Cat on 9/2/18 and the greens were in perfect condition! The courses are always well maintained and fun and challenging.
Excellent course and condition was in real good shape, just like our courses back home in Scotland minus the rain and wind,. For a foursome it took us 3 1/2 hours so the pace was great.
Can’t go wrong with Crooked.
Excellent course with excellent greens.
I think the starter was off his game tho. He didn’t match people up so there were a lot of 2somes and 3somes mixed in with slow 4somes. The two guys with me in my 3some quit on 11 so the last 8 holes were frustrating.
The course was pure. Greens were excellent on Crooked Cat and I teed off early enough to zip around in 4 hours. This is my favorite place in/around Orlando, I’ve played it countless times and it RARELY disappoints.
Nice layout and wonderful playing conditions
Have not played here in many years. The course was in very nice shape, tee boxes, fairways and traps were all excellent, the greens had been dressed recently, but rolled quick and were very playable. I over played breaks all day though, I am hoping it was the greens and not me, I will find out on my next visit, which I plan to be soon. A really nice track to play.
Worth the trip
While slightly out of the way for me, this place is worth the trip. Course conditions were perfect tee to green. Biggest pro shop, helpful and friendly staff, great food, and the course is one of the best in the Orlando area with an incredible practice facility.
