Lakes at Walden Lake Golf & Country Club

This course is well on it's way back too where it was 4 year's ago. I am proud to say it look's good for Plant City to have a course like this and a great staff. That being said I feel the course is a little over priced at 42.00 should be around 32.00 until it gets back to its full glory. Please give Walden lake a try. The course is in fair/good shape and still very challenging for the average player from any off the tee boxes. Worth giving it a try.

Played this course several times about a year ago. Conditions were really bad. Looks like the owners are trying to turn the course around. In much better shape than the last time I played it.

I just love this course. The previous owner started running this beauty in the ground. However, the new Manager is shining up his lumps of coal to expose this gem. People be patient and give him time to turn things around. I really hope that they open up the other side and/or the other course. All in all another fantastic sun-shiny golf outting.

I played as a single. As such, I played through a twosome of ladies and a threesome of men. They all waved me to play through at the earliest appropriate time. I have not encountered such etiquette at many courses.

Even though there is new ownership/management, there is still too many problems. It took ten years of no investment and poor maintenance to ruin this course/facility, so the cupbards are bare so to speak, maybe in time things will improve. Still you can at least mow the place. I went out after the fairways and rough had just been mowed and you could barley find a ball in the fairway and forget if it went 5-10 yards into the rough. I never hit a ball into the woods or water and lost 10 balls. It looks like the course has a new reel mower and several other new/newer mowers, a little advice to the staff go ahead and lower them quite a bit your turf/weeds are way to high. The whole course needs to be reseeded as there really is no golf course turf left from the previous owners abuse.

I stop playing there a year and a half ago because the course condition went down dramatically I saw it it was under new management and thought I would give it another chance it is still the worst course I've played in quite some time.

I have played this course multiple times. It's getting better. There seems to be new management taking over, so there some small changes so far, but they are starting to take care of the course. Fairways in good condition, need to do something about the grass in the sand traps. I have faith that they will turn it around. Great value.

I wouldn't go back here if you paid me. This place is a dump from start to finish. Everything everyone else said is right on point. I had the opportunity to meet the "new manager". This guy is a little full of himself and comes off as a used car salesman.... which will most likely be his next career. There are much better places to play. This place will be condos sooner than later.

It had been a while since I played the course. I was overly disappointed in the condition of the Lakes Course. It appeared as if they are closing down the course. The bunkers had more grass than the fairway. The greens were in bad shape. #14 was the worst.
The second course already looked closed and overgrown.
The pro shop had very little inventory and the building looked run down as well.

Fairways and tee boxes where in bad shape. Course needs a lot of work especially tee boxes hardly any grass. Staff was very friendly.

I played this course probably 5 years ago and just don't remember it being as "beat up". The tee boxes were "scruffy"; some of the greens were dry and patchy; basically my buddy and I agreed that we would not play this course anytime soon and cannot recommend it under any circumstances. Rakes for the bunkers were no where to be found.

This course is close to home so I really wish it was better. It has been ignored for so long, it is in just terrible shape. No surprise; I knew that before hand but was hoping it was not as bad as what was reported. Sadly, the reviews were right. I love the layout but it needs a lot of work and money before it is ever going to be a place people want to play.

The course conditions at this otherwise, nice and quite course was so bad I felt sad! Several times I literally had to move my ball on the fairway to set on a patch of grass to hit my shot. Greens were also in horrifyingly bad shape. The price I paid was too much for that course. I will never play there again.

This is a great lay out course, but it is in a great need of maintenance.

Golf Course in terrible condition. If they don't put some money into it soon, there will be no play.

Unfortunately, what was once a very nice facility 20 years ago has turned into a complete disaster about to close in May. The Hills course is already closed; the Lakes course closing soon. Every aspect has become old, un-kept and run down. A very disappointing Saturday indeed.
