Perdido Bay Golf Club
About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Fun course
Fun mid level course in good shape and very friendly staff.
Good value
Always enjoy playing this course. Lots of variety in the hole layouts. My only gripe is the greens are really slow compared to other surrounding courses.
Always a good value
Staff was friendly and helpful, have about 5 of the white tee boxes under construction. Pace of play was good, finished in 3.5 hours.
Fun and challenging
I’m a fairly new golfer and I found this course to be very enjoyable and challenging. I’ve heard different things about the difficulty on this course, but I found that they weren’t as bad as they seemed.
The driving range was great as well. I will definitely be coming back here.
Best bang for the buck
Good course for the average golfer. Fair. It has plenty of challenging holes.
Nice course
Everything about this. Purse is great. It is a little pricey.
Favorite course
It's still winter, fairways are dormant. Some cart paths need repair. Bunkers in good condition.
Crappy weather. Fairways lacking some turf to hit from.
I enjoy this course always have should be cheaper this time of year considering course conditions.
Great place to play on a rainy day.
In spite of the fact that it rained almost 24 consecutive hours prior to my arrival the course was surprisingly dry. Greens are in good shape and well kept.
Member for 4 years but no more
I’ve been a member at Perdido Bay country club for four years now and this year I will not be renewing due to the bait and switch membership protocol that Paul Slavin has implemented where he will take your money for an annual membership and then he will spend that next year changing the rules and making it near impossible to use the membership. I am one of at least six members that have decided to leave due to an extremely rude and arrogant letter that Paul Slavin the minority owner and greenskeeper sent out to all of the members. People should know that this is not a golf course. It’s run like a grumpy old man’s lawn and he will charge you to get on his lawn and then tell you to get off his lawn. It is the strangest most perplexing thing you will ever deal with if you’ve ever had to deal with Paul. I own and run three small businesses in the Perdido Key area and as a businessman I cannot comprehend why this guy does the things he does. In the last four years I have spent nearly $35,000 with Paul’s business. My business advertised in his course guide I sponsored multiple golf tournaments over the years and still he treats me and others terribly !
I would gladly pay three times the membership fees if Paul would just simply cut the grass and have nothing to do with the daily operations unfortunately, he’s the best and worst thing that ever happened to that place. He’s an amazing greenskeeper, but has terrible customer service, and bedside manner, along with conducting himself and deceptive practices on the regular, and apparently he thinks none of the rules apply to him.
