Northdale Golf Club
About
Northdale Golf & Tennis Club remains one of the premier Tampa golf courses because of its affordable play, its use of water on 11 of 18 holes, bunkers, rolling undulations and contoured greens that really challenge players. Just 12 miles north of Tampa International Airport, this is a neighborhood golf course with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that will add to the enjoyment of your day. Renowned golf course architect Ron Garl designed the par 72, 6824-yard championship golf course. Northdale Golf & Tennis Club winds its way through 180 plus acres of property that is home to Brushy Creek and a series of small lakes and unspoiled wooded areas.

mike
considering what the other courses charge this time of year it is a good value not as crowded as the other courses mid morning
Effort vs. Efficiency
Course needs a marshal on the weekend to improve the pace of play.
Staff is working hard to make the course enjoyable.
Staff needs to enforce dress code.
Staff should charge riders full fee as well. They are taking up golf carts and impacting the paying customers.
1st time
This was my first time to Northdale Golf Course and I was pleasantly surprised. Check in/Pro shop was just like most other pro shops. What was surprising was the condition of the course for. it being January 4th, actually better condition imop than courses I have paid more to play. Course played not to easy, not to hard, fair but still a little challenging. All ball washers at each hole had water in them to clean your ball, only a couple holes didn't have towels. Course has restrooms on each 9. Small disappointment, there was no water dispensers to get a drink from on the entire course.
In the end, I would recommend playing here and in fact I look forward to my next round there.
expect to spend some time out here
conditions are great, 5 hour round on a weds is brutal though. no rangers keeping up pace, expect to spend the day out here
Nice course In better shape
Haven't played here in a couple years. It was a little rough back then, but the new owners have turned it around.
Greens were in great shape just a little fluffy and slow, but that's because of recent rains so obviously they couldn't mow or roll them. I would go back and play again.
Excellent conditions
When looking at the course map on The Grint, the course looked beat up & worn down, but recent reviews said all good things about the recent conditions and boy were they right! Had a blast & shot well!
Great all around!
We played back in August 2023 and had a very bad Round. But now under new ownership this course was Great today and we will be playing it a lot more Ten out of Ten! 10 out of 10! Boston Tom
Vastly Improved
We have played Northdale many times over the years. The course condition had become very poor the last couple years. I was pleasantly surprised to see the course was in much better condition than it has been for a long time. Greens were very smooth and fast. There are some rough spots here and there, but huge improvement over what it has been
Good Value
From what I’ve read, there’s new management and the course has improved. It was my first time playing, and I wasn’t disappointed. This is a good course for $35, but I wouldn’t pay $40+. 19th hole was cool with TVs and had good bar vibes. Pro shop is trash, and bathrooms smelled worse than a truck stop bathroom.
Overall, I was happy with course. A ranger would have been nice to help pace of play and prevent the high school kids from taking 3 shots off the tee box and watch them drive on the greens.
Much better
Coming along nicely. 1st green was a little rough, but the rest were great. Fairways and bunkers great shape.
Clubhouse much improved. Nice carts.
Can't beat it in this price range.
Best I’ve seen it in quite a while.
Course conditions are greatly improved. Sand traps much better. A couple rough greens in spots, But overall, Northdale is well maintained for a public course. My favorite play in the area.
A familiar course
I always try to make time to include a stop here if I'm in Tampa as it was one of the first courses I played when in the area.
The layout is the same and the new owners are trying to bring it back to the shape it was in after they resurfaced all the greens a few years ago.
Special shout out to Renee in the shop for being so friendly and to Kaylee behind the bar for the same reason. Apologies if I can't spell ladies :)
The course overall was in pretty good shape and represents good value for money. Just don't pay any attention to the state of the 1st green as it doesn't get much light so suffers. The other 17 greens are much better.
