Ehhhhhhhh
Greens were punched a few days ago, and of course they didn’t mention that at booking. The course was in horrible shape. Even if the greens were rolling pure the rest of the course was still horrible. There was a Marshall on nearly every other hole checking on pace of play. I think they could use that money on fixing the course instead of Marshalls. Would certainly not recommend.
Great course
First time playing while my other two in the party had already played here once, amazing course. Excited to visit the other sister courses, love how it almost didn't feel like a Florida course.
My kind of place.
Relaxed neighborhood course. Continuing to see improved playing conditions. New mgmt ?
Nice Round
Was visiting from out of town and read reviews on this course. NOT TRUE. This course is a value for the set up, conditions, and pace of play. Starter was very polite. Tee boxes were good, greens were GREAT. Maintenance of rough areas looked behind schedule though. Will be back!
Good local course
Northdale is a nice local course , greens were good , grass in the fairways was a little long there were not many bare spots!
Fast play
I played a morning round of golf and their were very few players on the course. I finished 18 holes in less than 3hours. The course layout is fair. A few of the greens were chewed up. The course does not appear to be maintained properly. There is no drinking water on the course and no refreshment cart. That is not good especially playing on a 90 degree day.
Big improvements
Long time player at this neighborhood course. With the help of some rain and a seemingly newly conscientious grounds crew, this place is looking good.
Course conditions improve
The rains definitely helped the greens and fairways. Tampa bay been in a big dry spell, needed the rain. Pace of play is great 3.5 hours for a round.
One pet peeve the ball washers are always dry, not sure why it’s not a first thing in the AM to fill.
Not as bad as last time I played there
As a nearby resident I have been playing for many years at Northdale. About 2-3 years ago the course was getting continually worse as far as weeds, chewed up tee boxes and off fairway areas that were so overgrown you couldn't find ball.
The off fairway issue is improved as they are cutting the grass and balls could be played out of the rough.
Tee boxes were much improved.
There are still too many areas without grass, whether in fairway, near greens or even on putting surface.
The greens were exceptional for putting except for the patchy spots.
My round started at 5 and I was finished at 7:15, pace was exceptional.
When I rounded to the 10th hole I stopped in snack bar to buy a refreshment and it was locked up. I then walked over to the Pro Shop and it was locked up.
Good round
Course was nice even though not my first time playing it. Greens were just punched and had a lot of sand so they weren’t all that. They will however, be good in a week or two. Overall very decent condition and course. Will play again soon.
Great Course, Staff
Northdale looked good today in context of all the hot weather we’ve had! Greens were well manicured and the staff was friendly. Want to give Props to Keith for the treatment of the course and for a Northdale ball-catcher JJ for referring me to the course. Im an advocate to let him keep referring people to the course!
Did not find out that they had aerated the greens until I got to the course. unable to really putt on any holes. There were a lot of really slow foursomes on the course. Especially for a Friday mid day. Some of them looked like they were just messing around and there was no ranger to move them along. I ended up skipping three holes just so I didn't have to wait. Hopefully the greens will be really good in a few weeks.
