very scenic course
first time to play the course. beautiful layout, lots of dog legs right and left, challenging elevation changes, new carts with GPS distances to the F/M/B of greens, each hole has a tip about how to play the hole. enjoyed the course, will play again. driving range like hitting into a construction zone, range balls of various condition, types. lost a few balls to the over grown grass, both sides of ALL fairways BUNKERS NEED TLC. saw the cart girls at least 5 times, friendly. pro shop staff very friendly, good food in the restaurant. regulars very welcoming. temperature 100
+. WE LIKED IT OVERALL, WILL PLAY AGAIN
Really soft greens
Best for winter play. Greens very soft and responsive.
Slow pace!
The course layout was nice, but traps were washed out and neglected. Overall the course was unkept. The biggest problem was we were asked to start on 10 because of a tournament. That would have been ok if it put us in front of the tournament, but we were inserted into the group. When we finished 18 we then had a backup on 1. No starter or anybody to help people coming off the backside to complete their round.
nice course
considering how dry it has been in Texas, I thought the course was in great shape.. the greens were in great shape.. love the bent grass..
Fun course
Not what it once was but still a fun course to play.
nice course, but...
Pretty place, nice course layout, fun to play here. No the BAD.. Greens had the nastiest weeds i ever saw on the greens and they are all over and deeply rooted. Dont waste your time until at least next spring.
Making a Comeback
Up until two years ago, I played the course exclusively. It really started to go downhill, but the new GM Darren has really improved the place over the last year. they are letting the fairways grow out a bit, but you get to hit off grass now instead of dirt. I've seen a review that complained about this, but he needs to understand the watering restrictions, cut it low and your going lose the fairways. The greens have some crabgrass on them, but they rolled true and held very well. I hit from three hybrid to sand wedge all held the greens. I was very happy with the course, first time I have been able to say that in years. 11 years ago when I started playing there it was the hidden Gem of the metroplex area. Hopefully if they keep the current management in place for a while, which is a difficult thing for Warrior Golf, they may be on their way back.

POOR COURSE CONDITIONS
The price was excellent. Normally 38 dollars to play during the week but I pad 10. So definitely a plus on that end. But the course was not in good shape. Grass was not mowed properly on the fairway. The ones that were mowed....they left the dead grass on the fairway. Groundskeeper definitely needs a talking to.
Good track - fun round of golf
You will enjoy playing this golf course! Nice layout with some challenging holes, some risk-reward holes and some opportunities for birdies, too. The fairways are well grown in with grass, but could stand a little more frequent mowing. All but one green were in excellent shape; it was a little splotchy and had crabgrass throughout. The tee boxes need some TLC -- many were nothing more than a small area that had been mowed at a lower setting on the mower. Overall, the course was in good shape. A fun round of golf !
est kept secret on west 380
played course several times and cannot beat bang for the buck. fun to play and awesome greens to putt on. worth the drive if you are not to far away.
Needs Mowing
I Like this course since I can use Golf-Now to book my tee times. I personally think it is over priced to pay for its current condition. This website gives a good price for last minute tee times which makes it worthwhile since I live close. The greens are excellent but the fairways and ruff definitely need mowing. Its been this way all summer. I have played it for six of the last seven weekends. Overall its worth half of the face value I do recommend for a quick afternoon round if you book it discounted.
Great Value
Beautiful greens, nice views, friendly people. It was challenging enough for a beginner and very experienced golfer to have a great round together.
nice course
course has potential for being a great course if properly maintained and groomed
Had a Blast
My son and I played and enjoyed the course. Played 36 holes, that should say something about the course. Greens were excellent. Club house staff was nice, and bar area was very accommodating.
nice little track
I got a great deal through GolfNow. The weather was great. The bentgrass greens were in good condition but they rolled a little slow. Number 4 was pretty spotty. Maybe a fungus? the fairways needed to be mowed but other than that no complaints. A morning rain had just rolled through and the clouds remained for most of the day so it was very pleasent.
Good value, great greens.
Greens were excellent! Fairways are like most locally, hard and in need of rain. Course looks short on paper but the many doglegs cause you to think and plan out holes. Definitely not your typical driver, mid iron Texas course. Full grill, sparse but accommodating pro shop. We will be back.
Give it a minute
Pulling up to this place it looked closed. There's an early 90's limo that hasn't been moved or washed in 15 years sitting in the parking lot. The concrete tennis court looks great with all the grass growing in the cracks however since the net is missing it's useless. Once we walked in it was clean and the folks were nice. The carts were good with a GPS system. The course was great, nice fairways healthy trees and super fast greens. All of this for 10 bucks + beer. Great value, next time I make it out to Bridgeport I hope to play there again
Great greens
The fairways and teeboxes are patchy but the greens more than make up for them. Beautiful, true-rolling bent grass makes putting a pleasure and every putt within 15 feet is a legitimate birdie op.
Definitely worth the long drive from Dallas, particularly if you get a hot deal. Enjoy!
This course needs rain.
The greens are in great shape. The fairways are somewhat sketchy due to the drought. The course plays shorter than normal due to the dryness. The lake is seriously low which may be part of the water problem. The course is still playable tee to green but without rain will probably fade in hotter weather.
nice views
Greens are the best shap i've played on this season. I play in the DFW area.
