Finally Beat My Buddy
Course is in good shape. Staff isnice. Value for the dollar is excellent. Course should be added to anyone's playing agenda.
Nice Course / Fun to Play
Staff a little lost in their own self worth otherwise playing was a fun experience.
Played the Palms side. It has a lot of rolling areas as well as water on the front.
It is a nice course for the average golfer who doesn't slice to much, especially on the front side. ( water ) It is a nice challenge. The course is in pretty good shape although the greens are hard like most courses in the area. Lots of fun and the staff was quite pleasant to deal with.
APRIL CONDITIONS COURSE IN TOP SHAPE
STARTED OUT DOUBLE , DOUBLE , DOUBLE AND STILL LIKED THE LAKES COURSE. GREENS WERE PERFECT AND QUICKER THAN LOOKED LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING THE OTHER 18
greens were in great condition.
1st time playing menifee lakes. was a beautiful day and had a good time.
Menifee Lakes = Great Golf
First time over to Menifee Lakes, played the Lakes course. The greens were super, the staff and facilitie were great. The fairways could have been better in some places but overall it was great golf. Plenty of bunkers to keep you honest about your shot placement, that's both fairway and around the greens. The sand in some of the bumkers was wet so it was a challenge from trap to trap so you had to adjust your bunker play, unforntunately I spent an above average amount of time in them (LOL) The staff was way above average on the friendliness and just overall helpful scale. Beverage cart service was great with the girl coming by enough to keep you hydrated and happy. Godd round at a nice track.
Greens
The only problem were the greens were just aerated, which it said in the write up. It was in real good shape, would play again when the greens are ready.
Nice cource had a great time.
Very well kept and fun course to golf. Very friendly staff
very good value, great condition.
check-in is easy. can use the golf cart to go to car for your clubs.
fairways and greens in very good condition. I used the computer for a reduced price and tee time. Friendly people to play with. Cart girl for cold drinks and snacks. Due to two 18-hole courses, no waiting if you are ready to go.
Great value for the money
I've played this course previously, but not in the last couple of years. There are two 18 hole courses. We played the Lakes course. The tee boxes and greens were in very good shape. From tee to green though, there were some bare spots and many "clumps" of grass in the rough; the type of grass that grows in clumps like mushrooms. The staff is great. Friendly and professional. I will play this course again soon.
Okay
Thes Staff was great the greens were not
Overall nice course
Great afternoon of golf
We played the Lakes course. It was plugged 2 weeks ago so green conditions were a little off. However, pace of play was great. 3 of us played all 18 holes in 3 hours and 45 minutes. Great afternoon of golf.
A little beat up
I played the Palms Course and the greens were in perfect condition. The rest of the course is a little beat up. The pro shop staff said that they were unable to reseed this year because you have to give the course a break every few years. The layout is great. The greens are a little tight for me as a high handicap golfer but fun. I had a good time playing but I think the price was a little high for the condition of the fairways and rough. I payed $49 for an early morning round which is consistent with other courses in the area but the other courses are in a little better shape. The pro shop staff also said the Lakes Course was recently punched and should be coming back soon. Call the pro shop to check the status.
Fun course
This was my first time playing this course. It had its challenging holes by for the most part it was straight forward. The rough wasn't very rough so an off line tee shot could be played with ease. Greens were challenging but held the ball well.
great value for varied holes
most holes different layout, slow recovery from overseeding on fairways but greens OK
Late start because they over booked
The course overbooked the course. I had a 12:56 tee time and they didn't start us until 1:50 needless to say I we didn't get to play the last 2 holes because it was too dark
Average attention to customers
Waited 45 minutes to get a cart. Apparently this course just opened nd they did not know they would need two carts per foursome tee time ... I'm being sarcastic!!
As if that wasn't enough, while I waited 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge me at the snack bar, I spoke with two guys who were waiting 30+ minutes for their hot dogs...good thing there were no carts or they would have left empty handed.
Normally a great place for the price and I will likely try them again but I never got one apology or any sense of urgency from anyone from the pro to the range guys.
good mix of holes
lots of fun but yet a challenge. very nice greens and fast
Greens and fairways are fried.
I was greeted in the pro shop with the staffs back turned to me. When I received my cart the starter spoke little English and was more rude then the pro shop staff. The starter only cared for the members. Once we were on the course there was little to know grass on the fairway. The greens were burned and the holes had not been changed in days. This was our groups last trip to this course. October 24th 2012
very good
There was a tournament just finishing when I arrived so it was a little slow getting started but the play picked up when we get out on the course. It is a beautiful 2 course arrangement with lots of water and can be tricky.
