The Nat
Fun course to play. Fun atmosphere. Fairways a little dry but we haven’t had any rain in quite a while.
Great value and nice staff!
I loved the country music on the range l, the shots while playing - such a nice vibe. Plus the course was fun with no waiting. I’ll be back. In fact I booked again for next week!
Excellent greens. Fun layout. Laidback vibe
The greens are very readable and true but fast; top notch for public course. This round I made an unusual number of long putts with smooth steady strokes using a Jail bird for a total of 5 birdies which was made possible by the true greens that allowed a hot putter. Most putts made were pin high so watch your distance control or you may face fast slick downhill curving putts from behind the pin. Playing partners made a number of putts as well including a 40 ft curving downhill putt on #18. Traps have decent sand. Layout has a number of lakes off to the right if you stray your drives, from personal experience . Remember rule of golf; if water hazards are unmarked by stakes they are played as lateral red stakes. Only negative comment was some rough far off to right was some form of weed that was mowed instead of grass; could be result of Florida’s harsh weather conditions. Not sure if this weed should be played as ground under repair or not but you may want to ask at pro shop before you play. Speed of play was excellent, about 4 hours.
What an Experience!
My wife and I luckily stumbled onto this course through GolfNow. With no expectations this course blew us away. The staff was beyond friendly and the course played great. Renovations to the clubhouse look amazing and cant wait to go back once its completed. I'd give more than 5 stars if it were possible!!!!!
A course worth Minus 5 stars
If I could give this course minus 5 stars I would. I have been playing golf for over 40 years in 30 plus different states, and my wife has been playing golf for 20 years. We were here on vacation so decided to play this course. Never once in all those courses has a course ranger told be on the 5th hole I was 6 minutes behind on a 4-hour place of play nor a ranger on the 9th hole tell me I was 7 minutes behind and if I did not pick up the pace, they might remove us from the course. We booked as a twosome at 9:58 when we got there the starter told us rudely, we were 10:06 which was no big deal if he had the slightest bit of curiosity about it. Looking at the foursome who took the 9:58 they appeared to be locals certainly raising suspicion. We were paired with another couple and none of the foursome had ever played the course previously. NOT ONCE IN THE ENTIRE 18 holes did the group in front of us leave our sight which means we were under the 8-minute spacing of tee times. On the backside we were consistently waiting on the group in front of us. We completed the round in 4 hours 15 minutes which is nowhere close to being unreasonable. You are entitled to set whatever rules you want for your golf course but neither your website nor the Golf Now booking site defined your rules for a 4-hour or less round allowing for harassment prior to me paying for the tee time. I have never been so mad on a golf course in all the years I have been playing. I have some ideas to keep people in 4 hours 1. Eliminate the Cart Girl. 2. Eliminate the Bathrooms 3. Eliminate the people hawking a Charity event on one of your PAR 3's 4. Require all players to provide proof of a 12 or less handicap prior to noon to secure a tee time. 5. Only allow people under the age of 60 to play between noon and 4 PM 6. All people over 60 not be allowed on the course prior to 4 PM. The course advertised itself as Friendly and relaxed. Whatever you do find a course that appreciates your patronage. DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE IF YOU WANT AN ENJOYABLE ROUND OF GOLF.
Value for money
First time here and was pleased. Relaxed play until the Ranger comes by to say you are behind pace (expect 4hrs for 18 holes).. issue with this was the groups in front who made us stand and wait. Liked the layout of holes.
Friendly golf course
Despite the slow pace of play on this particular day, overall the course staff are extremely happy and helpful.
I will definitely play here again.
Starting on back 9
I had the first tee time. Finished the front 9 in 1 hr & 20 minutes. On 10, at least 3 groups were on the back 9. The group I followed were 3 senior women who never once offered to let me play thru. Painfully slow at that point… and my score suffered. Apparently no Marshall to help but it would have been nice to know the starter was having folks start on 10 when I teed off at 0650.
Always a fun time at PBN
Had a great time playing here
Best value in the area
Course has a few challenging holes and all the staff is super friendly
Can’t wait to go back
