Chamber of Commerce day
Course in nice shape no issues whatsoever. Sand traps in nice shape especially.
This is hands down the best golf course I have ever set foot on. I got a big discount on the green fees from the Golf Now app. But I would pay full price to play this course. The greens are extremely fast, and they have slopes and hills. Very challenging but it was nice to see a ball break when it should break. The fairways were in good shape, maybe a tad bit wet, but still very nice. The grounds crew was very polite and would shut off machines when someone was trying to take a shot. That does not happen on some courses.
Saddlebrook Palmer course
From the time you arrive at the front gate until you drive out the property you feel a like you experienced excellent
treatement, an excellent course and a great bang for your buck.
Slow play, poor condition
Played this course 2 days in a row because I stayed on property. The greens were very slow and the course was not the condition you would expect at a resort. The tees were in bad shape, and the play was extremely slow. No ranger in site either days. Not worth the money as there are much better courses to play in the area.
Rush rush rush
Valet parking....rush to get out of the car. Rush to get your gear. Shuttled to the cart guy who could not find your tee time on his sheet...my playing partner was so rushed that he left his phone and wallet in his car...did not realize that until he reached for a tip for the shuttle guy. Not a great reception and not the first time for me. Beyond that staff was great, course was great, facility was awesome. What would make this even better? Self park and a cart pick up or bag drop like the rest of the resort courses do it.
First Time at Palmer Course...
and it won't be the last. I enjoyed my round and the course was in great shape. The staff was friendly and I will definitely play here again!!
Greens need work
Always enjoy saddlebrook on either course. The course in in good shape for late summer, but the greens were not up to par. There wee very rough and did not roll well. Some had patches and still showed aeration holes with sandy spots.
Greens are not up to normal levels
I have played here 5-6 times. Today was bad. Pace of play was 5 hours.....in Florida thats terrible.
The greens were fuzzy, not mowed tight, sand filled and patchwork everywhere. They have really gotten bad since I played there 2 months back. Don't roll true and the ball bounces all over the place. Burnt spots on every green....
The course is beautifully maintained. It is not a long course. The green had be top dressed and, as such, not mowed and pretty slow. But, once we have some rain and the dressing settles in greens should be quite good.Fun course to play.
Staff not friendly, had to valet park and then someone carted you to Pro shop TIP, TIPS, all they seem interested in.. The bag guy didn't even put our bags on cart, just said pick a cart and go. 1st green terrible condition and a few more on the course. They closed the Palmer Course for awhile so why wasn't this course in better shape. Not a RESORT course like I know. Won't go back.
Very nice course layout, greens were a little rough.
Tees and fairways in excellent shape. Course layout was good resort course. Playable for all skill levels. Very nice overall. Greens were not in the best shape but putted fine.
beautiful course, in great shape overall for this time of year, staff very good, treated great.
Rough is supposed to be mean bunkers
I have played Saddlebrook several times and have always considered them some of the top courses in the area. Beautiful course with speedy smooth greens is why I chose to drive an hour just to play here. The greens are horrible, rumble strips on the highway would be easier to putt. Wait a few weeks then they should have it back in the fantastic shape we expect from them.
Nice layout, rough greens.
If you have not played Saddlebrook before, be advised you will have to valet your vehicle. The pro shop will validate your valet ticket. The tees and fairways were in fair condition, and most of the bunkers were in good shape. The greens, however, are in pretty rough shape. Very bumpy and inconsistent. Everyone on staff from the valet, cart wranglers, pro shop, starter and beverage cart were very nice and welcoming. This is a difficult time of the year for greens in Florida, so lower your expectations in that area if you plan a round here.
Pace of play was reasonable for a Sunday morning (4 hours).
What a maze
Such a maze to get around. Didn't like the here and there to get to the driving range and than back to pro shop and than to the golf course. Won't go back, u need a GPS to get around. Plus we had to wait at every hole to tee off took 4 1/2 hours to play. Some greens need repair badly. Plus we had to park a mile away from everything and ride a bus with are clubs.
Well maintained course with courteous and friendly staff. Great experience.
Great for money spent.
They are currently doing some work on greens and is wet due to all the rain but for the money it is fantastic.
First time playing this course but really enjoyed the course layout. The greens had been punched recently and a lot of the greens had bad spots. Hard to figure out how to park and get to the pro shop.
