Random Course
scheduled the game while passing through the area. Its off the path so takes some effort to get there. Worth the time. Beautiful course and layout. It had rained so cart path only. Difficult at times due to where the path is in relation to the fairways. Greens recently aerated/sanded so they were rolling slow. Gave me a strong desire to return during season to get the full experience.
Great golfing Experience
Limestone Springs is a premier golf course and doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. I have played at most of The RTJ courses and found this course is as premium as any of them. The course is long enough with great bunker locations, it has water hazards that make it challenging and the wooded hills with its unique landscape is just plan beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and the food delicious. We played 36 holes and looking forward to returning. I have played most public courses in central Alabama and surrounding areas, and in my opinion this is the best deal in Alabama for the price and all this place has to offer.
Awesome Course, we had a blast
Very nice course, the layout is beautiful and I shot really really good on a non easy 18 holes!!
Best public course in bham
Worth the drive from Birmingham. Closest thing to Shoal that you can get at a public course. Greens are honestly CCB level pure for the most part. Cut through the mountains for a super cool layout. If you haven’t played since the renovations go out and play it.
Great Post Xmas Round
Despite being late December the course is still in very good shape. The greens were fantastic, rolling fast and true. Fairways were dormant but still in good shape. Only sign of the season were thin spots on a few tee boxes. Overall, well worth the cost and an hours drive.
Course was in great shape for winter time and the greens were A+. When I seen it for 37.00 on golf now I was gone!
Gnats and Rude Grounds Crew
Course was infested with gnats and to pay $$$ to play you do not expect the grounds crew running all over the course as you play.
Course looks nice but it’s not enjoyable when it’s not quiet and you cannot hit your ball without worrying insects are going to get into your eyes!
Last time I will pay that kind of money for the results.
Serious Gnat Problem!
I’ve played here numerous times, but today there wasn’t a Tee Box that wasn’t infested with gnats as well as many locations on the fairway making it extremely difficult to try to focus on playing.
Also to pay $100 you don’t expect to have the ground crews running their equipment while you’re trying to play or sitting beside the greens with their equipment running. I would expect they turn everything off when they are in your vicinity or work during times the course is closed or do not schedule tee times if they are working on the course or offer discounted green fees!
I will not be going back to play here again anymore.
Mountain Course
Very beautiful course. Not much trouble. Very playable. I would play it again.
A hideaway gem
Went there for a weekend. Great golf course. Greens were in great shape. Play the tees that fit you best. It plays a little longer than it is. Definitely recommend this course.
