Very nice fairways/greens new front desk guy
Played here many times. Not sure if they got rid of or changed up the guy at the front desk. Old guy is a total jerk and should never work the front desk. This gentleman was friendly and straightforward. So thanks for that. Whole course was in great shape, bridge was fixed and all holes were open. Glad to see the course busy. We will be back.
Decent and interesting
It's a short course with average course condition. With lots of big trees, it makes me feel great fun to play in summer time.

The course was in great condition
Had an awesome round of golf. Course layout was superb. Will most definitely play again soon.
The course would be a very nice practice course if there was any green grass on it. Half of it was dead and the other half was weeds or dirt.

Challenging in its own way
Short course that looks easy on the score card, however the thin fairways and branches make it extremely challenging if you struggle hitting straight or hit too high! Value is second to none!

the cart paths need repave and pot hole repair
the greens need to be cut and rolled

The good news is the course is in the middle of old-growth Redwoods...nice!
Although I've looked forward to playing this course for many years, it was just too far away. However, I found a great price on Thursday. The google machine said it was "established" in 1961, but any the upgrades are hard to find. The COVID monster is now allowing us to play golf safely so the grounds should be really good right?
The drive there is nightmarish and Hwy 9 or Bear Creek Road NO-FUN.

Off the beaten path , Excellent value along with a challenging intermediate experience
Played for the first time and it’s very out there in the wilderness and loved the nature vibe and remoteness of playing along all the redwood lined fairways , course conditions were a C+ , with greens a solid B and fairways getting a C- as crab grass very prevalent but this is more of a description for all of you more than me complaining as I had a great time and was challenged on some holes for instance a 190 par 3 over a small ravine just short of the green which is elevated ... btw birdied that hole but if you have a chance to get out and have a free day def worth every penny !!
Fun and Challenging!
Beautiful course that is a pleasant walk and a challenging layout. The shorter yardage than the average course was a nice change of pace. The greens were well kept and had plenty of slope and undulation. Coupled with the tight tee shots among the Redwoods, it’s a beautiful golf experience.
