Usually, this course is in good shape. With the mild weather we have had, I was surprised by the many dry spots in the fairways and tee boxes. Every other course that I have played in the area recently has been in above average condition, not Mather.

Beautiful day at Mather.
Mather is in very nice shape. The sand traps could use some care. The tops are overgrown and overhang the traps a bit making it more challenging to get out. Once we got off the first tee which was running late, the pace of play was good. A beautiful day spent in a park setting.
