love the course - pace of play was excruciating
We play Sugarloaf often. Sometimes, the pace is slow, we figured a 3:30pm time on a Friday would be good. Oh boy, were we wrong.
Excruciating barely covers the day. Waited at least 15 minutes per hole. At one point, there were 4 groups waiting on hole 7.
Several of the groups left after 9, and holes 10 and 11 were open and figured we were good. Then we hit 12. 2 groups of 4, walking and we were sitting for 20 minutes to start 12 amd 13 holes. (there was noone on 7 or 18, we watched the entire time). We gave up, took the turn at 18 and left.
A marshall is required to move slow groups, that are way behind, to skip a hole or speed up the pace of play.
Challenge your short game
Arrived late because on golf now it still takes you to Valley of the Moon or larger course. I was paired up with two other players that were regulars. It was with their help that I was able to navigate this super fun course. Can not wait to come back. Greens were a challenge as the ball would be right online and come to a sudden stop for all within feet of the cup. I really gotta say that the course was in great conditions!
Great short course
This is the short course but still has some holes you can use your driver on. Enough challenges on it to make it enjoyable. The starting time on the teeoff specials at the courses at Oakmont that this course is the only one you could finish before it gets dark.
A great test
When you’re done with the round you know par 3’s are the toughest part of the game of golf.
Fun course to play for all levels.
The course layout gives every level of golfers an opportunity to work on their game.
Great course! It will challenge your short game.
I try to play here as often as possible. The value for the quality of the course is amazing. Greens and fairways are always well kept. The rough around the greens was the most challenging. Overall this is a great place to play.
Wonderful course
Had a blast!
Great atmosphere
Short executive course in the beautiful Valley of the Moon. Greens have been punched and are healing nicely. Great views or the surrounding hills.. pro shop staff was excellent.
Great Day
