Bonaventure Golf Club
About
Bonaventure Golf Club (formerly known as Bonaventure Country Club) is a classic Florida layout with holes routed through strands of mature palms and hardwoods, and around numerous water hazards and expansive bunkers. This course, designed by Joe Lee, is also called the Green Monster. Some people call it the Cascade Course because of the waterfall on the picturesque 160-yard, par-3 third. This signature hole has a waterfall that stretches across the front of the green.

Medland/Reinoehl Bonaventure Game
Course was in best shape I have seen it in the five years I have been herel
Improved!
The course has greatly improved from the last time we played 3 years ago.
We'll play the course again.
Great time at Bonaventure
I played The front nine Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. The weather in south Florida is fantastic along with this golf course.
The approach’s are well maintained and greens are fast. I didn’t see the Alligator at hole # 2 but know he’s out there somewhere.
Challenging Course
Every hole is different, very nice layout. Great amount of water with 6 of last 8 having water as well as the front. Great par 3 over the waterfall! We had a windy day, and it was a challenge. We will be back!
Good but slow
Nice course. I enjoyed it. It was slow tho. No ranger. No cart girl either.
Getting better
Bonaventure team are doing a good job in bringing back the condition well. The majority of the greens are good as are the fairways. The staff are generally friendly. The tee boxes still need work but overall is is much better than a year ago,
Much Improved
This course is 100% better than last year. Many of the greens were terrible last year, but only about 3 greens had small repairable spots. It would help if ALL sand traps had at least one rake & preferably 2. The biggest fault is the slow pace of some groups who are too selfish to allow you to play through. The course Marshals are rarely seen and do little if anything to speed up play ie. force slow groups to allow others to play through.
Very wet conditions
First time playing the course was extremely wet. I usually play courses in the Midwest at about 6300 yards. Playing the 6200 yard tees in those conditions made the course play extremely long. Most every drive plugged or rolled out a yard or two. I looked at playing the seniors tee. But they were only 5400 yards. They could use another tee box. We quit after 9.
Course was wet
The course was very wet which made it play very long. I played the white tees about 6200 yards the course could probably use a set of hybrid tees the next set of tees was 5600 yards I hit several approach shots to front pins that plugged or only took one bounce the greens were smooth and true.
I liked the layout water came in to play on a lot of holes
