Pops
Meet by very senior starter who was confused about who was next and who playing with who. Condition of greens were sad, most covered in sand due to fungus or something, but not top dressed. Fairways left a lot to be desired didn't find good fairway until the last three holes by road and clubhouse, 17th green total mess. Pace of play was slow ( never saw a ranger) and no beverage cart. Tried it but won't go back.
The snake
Well the got snake bit at diamond back. The greens were patched up and the bunkers protected every side of the greens. In most cases the bunkers are bigger than the greens. Fairways narrow so if you are a single handycap you might enjoy it.... good luck....
over priced for the condition
Greens in terible shape, covered with a sand mixture
to hide and repair damage. Rooster tail of sand when you putt on every green. Sand in sand traps nice but not deep enough. Too much money for the condition of this course at this time.
Wouldn't play again
Too tight not very playable; course conditions miserable, no grass on fairways, greens dried out and diseased
Worth the trip when greens ae fixed
Played before and loved it, however the green had extreme frost killing this season and Will not go back this year, We will try again next year depending on the reviews,
Would not go back
We golfed this course twice 2 years ago and really enjoyed it.. We went back on Sunday-excited to play it again and were very disappointed. The greens were in rough shape and we thought the course had really gone down hill.
going down hill
In the last few weeks the greens have been getting progessively worse. Nice course but with marginal greens there are better courses for your money
Golfbum
Too much jungle not enough variety. Narrow fairways and dense rough makes for long rounds
Ok Course
Course layout was decent, but in rough shape, greens were the worst, rolled ok despite condition.
Was out with my 3 year old so did not want to spend alot of money, they actually gave him a better rate of only about $20. Want to hack it up not a bad place to play
somewhat tricked up
nice course good greens solid test probably frustrating for novice golfer
I like this course.
A course for all skill levels. Greens are in tough shape and ball washers needed a water change.
Greens in bad shape
Course has nice layout and plays fair but the greens are in bad shape. Bare spots and long grass where grass is growing.
great course years ago
I played this tight tough golf course years ago when it was in pristine condition .Sadly due to the long lasting recession the greens have become unplayable .The staff are doing what they can with the funds they have (bank owns course ) but they should have a warning that due to the extreme cold weather this winter ,that there greens are in very bad shape .
Needswork
The overall condition of the course was pretty good, but the greens need a lot of work. We will play again in May when in Fla again because of the lay out of the course, but the greens need to be better or it will be our last trip to Daimondback.
My opinion
Good course to play when you want to play several different courses. Greens need work.
Always enjoy this course.
It was a little early in the season so the grass was not well grown yet.
Still an exiting course to play.
Too hard for the high handicappers.
A Disappointing Outing
I have payed Diamondback a number of times over the last 3 years when visiting from Canada. My outing this year was so disappointing that I won't be back in the near future. We were about 30 minutes late teeing off due, I think, to over booking. There was no starter so golfers were just lining up and your tee time didn't seem to matter. The greens are in horrid condition. They have basically lost them for the season!
On a minor note a I don't appreciate staff following me to my car to wipe off my clubs!!
This course has some good holes
I did say I would recommend the course to a friend, but I would also caution them to not be in a hurry. Way too many people playing too close together. Four groups (groups not people) waiting to tee off on number one, when we arrived, and we waited on every shot all the way round. Group behind us not very patient, hitting way too close to us and no marshal around to speak with.
My first hole-in-one!
While the course was challenging, it is not in good condition. Fairways are very narrow. I did get my first hole-in-one in 60 years of trying so I guess that Diamondback will always hold a special place in my golf heart
Value for Money
Course needs some work but Staff was friendly and accommodating. Course is challenging but fairways and greens need more grass.
