Walk in the footsteps of pros at the Inverrary Country Club. Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed the golf courses at this club.
The legendary East Course is the signature course, where 15 PGA and LPGA tournaments were played including the Honda, the Jackie Gleason - Inverrary Classics, the Tournament Players Championship and the LPGA Phar-Mor Classic.
It is in excellent condition and is characterized by large, rolling greens, multiple tees, strategically placed bunkers, and lots of water. Its length from the championship tees is over 7100 yards.
The 7th hole is frequently mentioned as among the best par threes in Florida. Playing 199 yards from the back tee, it's all carry over water to a green that is angled in such a way as to look far smaller than it is in reality.

Old Florida course
While spending several weeks in Florida to get away from the Michigan winter...my wife and I decided to try this old florida course. We had to drive about 40 minutes south on I-95 to get to this part of florida We got a decent price on Golfnow and were paired up with a couple of local guys who were a lot of fun to chat with between holes. Pace was decent at right around 4 hours. One could tell this course back in the day... 80's thru early 90's ...was probably top tier. however, time has taken its toll on the overall property. Some of the adjoining homes/condos looked like they were empty and rundown or in need of a lot of TLC. Same could be said for the course. There is a West and East course. We played the West. So these comments are about that since I was not able to play the east this time down to Fla. It was mid 60's temp and a liitle on the windy side due to recent storms and a cold front passing over the area. The fairways were a bit...er a lot weedy with no real change in grass height for the "rough".... it was all pretty much the same height. The greens were pretty "quick" and rolled true with small blotchy areas here and there. The sand traps were a bit gravely for my tastes...a few too many small rocks and pebbles for my liking. One could hit out of them just the same. This track could be a very nice one again but substantial money would need to be injected to make that happen. Not sure this could and will happen since I am not that in tune with the florida golf scene. One should consider this course if in the Fort Lauderdale area...just don't set your hopes tooo high....cause if you are expecting high end resort golf...this would not be that place. But if you are looking to play on the cheaper end of the scale. this would be a good venue.. Must say the staff from check in to the starter were very cordial and seemed to appreciate the business..shout out to our playing partners.."FIREBALL!!!!" if you happen to read this comment..:)
Terrible course
Played this course for the first time today. I can say the greens were ok. Everything else was awful. The fairways and tees were pathetic. I would avoid this course unless you have absolutely no other options.
Great price to play afternoon
Nice layout, green in good condition. Very good for the price
Quick Greens, So-So Fairways
I wish they would spend some money improving the fairways They are inconsistent; some nice grass, but many bare or chewed up areas
Inverray West
Nice layout, pace of play excellent, decent shape and fair pricing.
Very nice course (east course) - would be nice to have a view of the Layout on the scorecard and / or on every tee off- Beer was flat and the waiter needed a break ...
Miss in the right positions
We always enjoy playing the course as the staff are very friendly and the course ischallenging. Today the pace was a little slow and you were severely penalized formissing fairways and greens on
In thewrong positions.
Decent course but staff not very customer focused.
The course was decent and we played at a good pace. Tee boxes and fairways were in good condition and greens were fine. The staff was not as helpful as I would have expected. We ended up carrying our bags to the car despite walking past several employees sitting in carts. It would have been nice for at least one of them to ask if we needed help...
Great in its day
A Robert Trent Jones course ready for renovations and seeding. We loved the fact that the course was wide open for a very relaxed pace of play. Playing winter rules, we still had a problem finding grass to hit off in the fairways. The clubhouse will also need renovations to bring it into the the 2020s. The staff was great.
Great place to play
Some very interesting and challenging holes. Course fairways were in good condition. The greens were fast and true. Enjoyed the round and play again and again.
