Westchase Golf Club
About
Designed by Lloyd Clifton, Westchase winds through acres of lakes, conservation areas and forest. It offers manicured greens surrounded by natural wetlands, wooden bridges and bulkheads. With its 9,500 sq. ft. clubhouse, full-service dining room, and fully stocked pro shop, Westchase offers a country club atmosphere along with first-class service. The golf club has established itself as one of Tampa Bay's best upscale golf facilities. The front nine meander through an impressive pine forest. The back nine -- which is demanding on the tee shot -- features lakes, wetlands and cypress. Strategically placed bunkers, more sparkling lakes and stands of cypress, oak, palmetto and pine frame the fairways and greens. Signature Hole No. 3, at 212 yards from the back tee, is all you can handle -- It's a Par 3 all-carry over water from the back tee!

Course has Airiated
The course is not playable right now 7/22/23. The fairways are cut by a machine and the greens are not playable. Perhaps in a month or 2 months.
Westchase
Best public track in the Clearwater/Tampa area. Biggest complaint is the bunkers and greens. Greens seem to have gotten worse as the years gone on. Tough to get a true roll out of them.
Narrow
Nice course, I’d like to play again knowing what I know now.
Bumpy greens
I play 4 times a week at my country club but try to test other places to change up the scene … $85 to play greens that go off-line & bounce / skip from 4 feet isn’t worth it , staff is nice and layout is unique 👍
I expected more from this golf course.
The greens and bunkers are unkept. The greens are rock hard and were very patchy. There are plenty of better and less expensive golf courses to play at compared to here. Until this changes I would not recommend anyone to go here. Especially for what they charge.
Good Challenge
I have played this course twice now. Once in primetime winter season for top value $100/ round and once in off season $69.99. The off season (June) was at a time when most local course were almost unplayable due to lack of rain. Westchase was still in good condition. My only beef was the bunkers were not manicured but I am sure it had alot to do with the rain this time of year and the trouble with upkeep. During primetime the course was immaculate. I will say that this course is enjoyable to play as it makes you “think” through your round on a gameplan to attack the course. It is not simply just a Driver hit and go type course. It is a shot makers course and a pleasure to play. The course allows for the good bal striker to score well.
Definitely worth a round
Its very nice
Great pace of play, the course is in great condition.
Best Public Tampa Bay Golf Course
Westchase golf course is the best public Tampa bay golf course for the money, course conditions, and club house. I always recommend this course to anyone from out of town or anyone that hasn’t played there before. It’s challenging and in perfect condition.
