Cypress Lakes Country Club
About
Cypress Lakes Country Club is the centerpiece of the Ormond community, a neighborhood of more than 500 homes. Blending seamlessly into the surrounding cypress trees, the golf course is both challenging and scenic. You'll have to navigate your way around 17 different ponds that come into play throughout the course. With several forced carries over wetlands, it will feel like there is water at every turn. There are also 40 strategically placed bunkers bordering the greens and fairways. It's a layout that will test your accuracy and ability to strategize. Multiple sets of tees keep scratch golfers happy while beginners can also approach the course with confidence. In addition to the golf course, Cypress Lakes has a practice facility featuring a 400-yard driving range with multiple targets and putting and chipping greens.

Greens redone and getting better
All of the recent reviews are pretty spot on. The greens were redone and are getting better. There are no yardage markers on any of the holes. Seems simple but super necessary. Should be next on their list of easy improvements.
New greens
The course is in excellent shape, but the greens needed to be rolled.
The ball bounced and bobbled when putting, it did not roll true.
Greens much better
The last time I played cypress Lake the greens were terrible. My buddy and I were not going to play again until the conditions were better. They have redone the greens and course in in great shape.
Course I’m much better shape after being closed all summer. Greens and fairways were much nicer. $40ish is the most I’d pay to play there. I think it’s much more than that if you’re not getting a deal like on this site
Favorite Course In The Area
Big fan of the course, will definitely play again.
Great layout
The fairways and greens are in really nice condition. The layout was nice, but challenging. Overall a great place to play.
Greens were under construction (they were unplayable. .
Over priced.
I live 5 minutes away and drive to either Laplace or luling to play a better course for half the price of cypress. I wish it was decent. I would have a membership.
Awful course
The greens are so bad don't even bring a putter. Just chip it. Can't believe they still charge you money.
Needs some TLC
These greens were, perhaps the worst that I’ve seen them. They needed to be cut and treated. Still a nice layout, good pace of play, excellent weather.
Poor greens
Greens were a sandbox filled it crabgrass. Nothing rolled flat ball was jumping all over the place.
Poor conditions
Greens were absolutely poor. Seems they seeded the greens way too late and now it’s patchy everywhere. Not to mention they haven’t cut them either. It’s sad this course is usually worth the price.
Greens need a lot of work. As bad as I have ever seen and seen to be more sand than grass. I like coming here to get a round in but the greens make it almost impossible to score.
Course conditions were poor
Overall, I enjoy playing Cypress Lakes. However, this time around, the greens were really in poor shape. Some of the greens were just a mixture of some grass and sand. Also, there are a couple of different varieties of grass growing on the greens. Putting was extremely difficult.
I do enjoy the course layout and understand with the new sprinkler system being installed, it may be sometime before the course gets up to respectable condition. However, at this time, the course is somewhat unplayable.
