Not impressed

We drove all the way from Baton Rouge to find out that they double booked our tee time with a five some, had to rush to tee off at an earlier time. The greens were in horrible shape and the tee boxes looked like they haven't been cut in 2 weeks. The best part was the other golfers were friendly and played fast.

nice course

Little bit of a drive. Nice and peaceful out on the course. A good mixture of easy medium and difficult holes. Day I played the greens were not so good they had just been reworked. Looking forward to going back in a couple of weeks when the course conditions are better.

Great greens

The greens on this course are pristine, as good as any in metro New Orleans. Really nice layout including par 3 island hole. Fairly wide open course with a few tight holes. Very playable for all skill levels. Also nice having rolling hills as this course is about 1 1/2 hours north of New Orleans where almost everything is flat. A little out of the way but worth the occasional drive from New Orleans and the best bargain if you live north of Lake Pontchartrain. Only things lacking are clubhouse and food and beverage.

Great Course For The Money

This course is an excellent value. I have payed considerably more to play courses that don't have as much to offer. The course conditions have always exceeded my expectations regardless of the weather. The layout of the course offers challenging fairways that reward you with a well placed shot or can easily penalize you depending on the errant shot. I must add that this course can easily be enjoyed by all skill level golfers. Ball washers and water coolers are well represented. The tee boxes for the most part are level and well maintained. The sand traps are free of weeds, grass and other debris and the greens are always in good condition. I really don't have anything negative to say about this course. If you are looking for a pleasant golf course and are not concerned with an opulent club house, this is a great choice.

Gemstone is a Gem

While it is a haul fro New Orleans this is a terrific course and good value. Being farther north, there is elevation and the course is fun to play.
