Grand Ridge Golf Club
About
Grand Ridge Golf Club is tucked away in the swamplands of St. Charles Parish, La. This scenic course is dappled with towering cypress trees and ancient oaks draped in moss. There are enough challenges on the golf course to keep the beautiful backdrop from being too distracting though. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes and the tight fairways are lined with trees. You'll need to have accurate drives in order to put you in a good position for the approach to the equally challenging greens. The golf course is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to low and high handicappers alike. Grand Ridge Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 15th. This tough 515-yard hole starts off with a tee shot over a pond up a narrow, tree-lined fairway.

1st time playing the course
I got a great deal on Golf now so I figured I would make the trek from New Orleans and try out the course. Overall the course was fun to play and you can tell they are trying to improve the problem areas. The greens are extremely consistent and well maintained. They are a tad slow but the ball rolls true and I didn't notice any bad spots on any green through all 18 holes. The problem areas are the tee boxes and the fairways. I noticed several tee boxes where new grass was planted and being regrown so I could see that being improved pretty soon but the fairways will likely be another year or so before I could imagine them being fully repaired. Overall I enjoyed the round. The course is fairly tight in spots as its tucked in a neighborhood but I would definitely play the course again.
Needs marshalls
Played behind a threesome that was, even playing a scramble, extremely slow. While we were waiting groups behind us pulled up and quit their rounds in disgust. The twosome behind us quit on 16, and said a women behind them playing as a single constantly hit into them.
Great Course
I play this course every 6 weeks. Love the course for the price. Only bad thing is that they have a couple of holes where a tree is in line of play.
Greens in Great Shape
It was typical winter golf a few days after heavy rain. Cart path only but fairways were playable.
Greens were in excellent condition.
The staff as always was superb.
The trees were rude as they continually hit my tee shots 😂.
49 Degrees. N wind at 17. But we played
It also rained the day before but we had a great time. Never had to wait. Greens were great.
Fun and Affordable near the Big Easy
Pretty decent track overall. Greens in excellent condition as were most of the tee boxes. Some fairways a little rough around some edges but not much to complain about. As you'd expect, a bit of water comes into play but not a lot of forced carries. As for the 19th hole, I recommend the po boy sandwich; absolutely stuffed with shrimp!
