Too many tee times sold
The course was way too packed. We waited 10 to sometimes 20 minutes on tee box only to have a line of carts behind us. Play was slow so we felt rushed the whole course. There was never a time we didn’t have other golfers in front and behind us.
Tough but Fun!
Conditions were good overall considering the time of year. Looks like some tee boxes are getting a makeover and there were some patchy areas on the green. Pins were placed in sections that were in good shape. It was our first time playing the course and it was tough to gage shots without a cart GPS. You really need to know where to hit it...you won't be able to chunk your way around...too many forced carries that favor solid ball striking. We loved the layout and the pace of play was good...wife and I played as a twosome in a little under 4 hours even though we were waiting on two other twosomes in front of us.
Beautiful Course
It’s a beautiful course with great views and a great staff. The greens are in bad shape for a course of this stature. Several other top courses on the coast have much better greens.
Great course
Fairways were full in the dead of winter. Greens were quick but rolled true. Sand bunkers a little thick but consistent throughout the course. Not too long of a course; great for the average handicapped golfer.
Tough for first time playing
Fun layout, if you strike the ball well. There's not much forgiveness on this course. Challenging course for average or higher handicapper. You can't have a bad day striking the ball, or you'll go through a lot of golf balls. First time was a rough experience for my scorecard.
5 is too many!
There were about 3 or 4 groups that had 5 players which held the entire course up.
I quit after 9
Fun course to play but very challenging for a golfer with 4 years experience. Have at least a dozen balls available
But will play again soon
Coarse in good shape
Coarse in good shape they should bring back a little more of a golf club atmosphere. Not a lot in pro shops are bar. Needs beverage cart on course.
Met expectations
Nice course. I liked it even though I played terribly lost a BUNCH of balls. Lot of water and I found the greens to be difficult to read. This course rewards accuracy.
Course was in good shape despite lots of recent rain. Greens were nice and fast but also had a lot of ball marks. Great clubhouse, nice bar and grill. I'd put this course overall in the same tier as Windance, The Oaks, and the Cardinal Course at Diamondhead. But I would say Bridges is the most difficult.
Enjoyable but a little polishing needed
Have always enjoyed the courses layout..
If just a few improvements in the overall conditions were made it would move my rating up a knotch.. Granted course was wet and the maintenance staff's cutting left a lot of trench marks.. some of the greens had irregular indentions or sanded over..
Cart staff was notably friendly..
Will keep playing and still recommend to others..
Good course
Enjoyed the round. Course held up well despite lots of recent rainfall. Course was laid out really well.
Great Vacation course
Really nice course. The greens were excellent and the fairways were plush
Drains well
Played during some drizzling and at times pouring and I was surprised at how well it drained. Fairways are very much open. Greens were in good condition. Would definitely go back when weather is ideal.
