Great course
The greens are large and fast the way they should be. The undulations on the greens increase through the 18 for a fair but increasing putting challenge. Fairways, fringe and rough cuts are well defined. The layout is awesome with lots of variety to keep the round interesting. Not a long course, but pleanty of challenge from the tips. Worth the drive from Knoxville. Will be back for sure !
Girls' Weekend Golf Outing at Millstone Golf Course in Morristown, TN
I booked our tee times through Golf Now which was very easy to do. The staff at the course were very friendly along with the golfers. The course was well-manicured and greens were fast - just like I like them! We will definitely return to play.
Outstanding Course
Thus is still one of my favorite courses to play in the area. It is maintained perfectly and layer out very well. The greens are challenging and roll very well. Clubhouse is outstanding and the food is very good. Highly recommend this course.
Enjoyable course
more par 5s and par 3s than I've played around the area, made for a challenge to switch stance. Upkeep of greens and fairways was great. Had two holes that a long driver going opposite drove close but not too dangerous. Didn't try the off-course amenities is why I didn't rate them higher.
Fast greens
The greens are fast and true. Sand traps are poor needed sand. It's worth the drive to play if you're from Knoxville.
Great atmosphere
I have two brothers that I play with and we play at Millstone very often. Its a great place to play for the money. I would recommend it for anyone that loves the game.
Millstone
As always course conditions aren't favorable this early on in the spring.
But, give the weather another week or two and things should improve.
Best Greens Anywhere!
Course is in excellent shape. Greens are currently better than any other courses will be at any time this year! Fairways are coming in, but still thin, which is normal for this time of year. Scott Kanipe and his staff are second to none. I promise you won't be disappointed! If you're not from Morristown but love golf, make the drive and you'll be glad you did.
Great find
Fairways still brown, but greens were terrific and fast. Well maintained interesting layout: six par 5, 6 par 4, and six par 3.
Millstone
Had a great time. Considering the time of year the course is in good shape.
Neglected to often
I enjoy the proximity of the course. However, the owners make it clear that investing back into the course is no longer a priority. For literally years the ball washers either have no soap or fluid at all or the smell is so disgusting you don't want to use them. They are few and far between and NOT ONE HAS A 40 CENT TOWEL ON THEM. . It never fails when I'm out there playing....so are the greens keeper and owners. They may want to focus more on improving the course than always playing it.
Unexpected pleasure
I had played this course a year ago, just did'nt like it. But tried it again, and was really surprised! It was in good shape, and the greens were receptive, and fairly fast! I would definitely play it again.
weather
It was 93 degrees with high humidity but we played 27 holes any way. Teed off at 9:00 was finished with 27 by 3:00 with four players.
Great place!
This is one of my favorite places to play.nice layout, exceptional nice staff, and the clubhouse had good food. Cant wait to play there again.
Great day to be a father.
Played Father's Day with my two sons. Love them and this course. It's fairly straight and not too hilly for someone like myself that has knee problems. However, that doesn't keep it from being challenging. The greens are difficult enough to frustrate and still fun enough that you want to place the ball at the hardest part of the green and see who can come closest to making it.
Ball washers and towels are your issue? I play a lot of courses and I would give up ball washers and towels on a pole for these great greens and course conditions.
