Rancho Manana Golf Club has one of the prettier courses in Cave Creek-Scottsdale, located high in the Sonora and combining vistas with testing golf. It offers a par-70 championship golf course laid out over elevations that change dramatically right up alongside the untouched desert and the indigenous wildlife that comes with that, as well as an old-school dude ranch that has been incorporated into the golf resort. Low-handicap golfers will be challenged by the golf course, but it's not so tough that other levels of golfer will be turned away.

The Rancho Manana Golf Club offers golf to the public and is conveniently located just 20 minutes off the highway.

After a round of golf at the Rancho Manana Golf Club, stick around for around and maybe some eats at the Tonto Bar & Grill, which has received several awards and is listed among Arizona's top 100 restaurants.

Great layout

Staff very friendly and helpful. Had to pay for range balls. There was a one hour frost delay and we received that email as we arrived. Course was in good shape but many tee boxes are being poorly maintained.

Play it Once

A short target style course with scenic views. Shot placement off the tee is a premium but you never need to hit more than a hybrid or long iron. Course was in good shape except for the tee boxes which were dirt, looked like they’ve not moved the markers in a month. Pace of play was slow but you have nice views to enjoy. Play it once for something different than your typical layout.

No help from the marshall.

I have played this course many times, like the layout, course conditions are always good and the pace of play usually good. Unfortunately we got stuck behind a very slow group and we’re not able to engage the Marshall to move them along. Result was a 5:05 round which is completely unacceptable. Otherwise no complaints.

Best of times

Played at Starr Pass- Tubac Resort and Rancho Manana while on vacation. This course is beautiful and in excellent condition. Very tight and using a driver on many holes is just asking for trouble. The layout and surrounding area is unmatched and would definitely return.

Good course but funky!

Enjoyed the course and will be back but it is really a bit strange, blind shots, long par 3s from the white tees. They desperately need senior tees!!

Great Day

My son and I played this course for the first time. It is a very interesting layout. Very hilly with a lot of elevation changes, nothing too crazy just different from flat. We were paired with a nice couple that had played there before. We had a great time and would definitely go back again.

Course in Great Condition

I haven't played Rancho Manana since 2022, after finishing 18 yesterday, it has to be in the best shape I've seen. From the tee-boxes to the lush fairways and beautiful greens, not a dead spot to be seen. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, Bruce the ranger was on top and attentive to the pace of play. Holes 4-9 are amazing and all signature-holes, however, we did get backed up at the par 3 9th. Made the turn and invited the 2some behind us to join and we finished 18. Tee-times later than 2pm will be a challenge to finish, but they do give heads-up before teeing off. Put this course on your list, it's well worth the drive to Cave Creek and you won't be disappointed.

Value for the $?

Pro shop & starter great. Stacking up tee times too close together will always cause backup somewhere. Spent 20 minutes waiting to tee off on 9. On the back it was better, maybe some people quit. Course gets a ton of play evidently from the tee boxes (well used). Marshall on the course did his best to keep things moving. 3 beers & hot dog $32, little pricey for me. Should be a $90 course but it's Phoenix in the winter.

Late in the day tee times

The course is affordable and a good value. It is built in the side of the hills. Lots of scenery. The pace could have moved faster. Late in the day tee times in winter will not see 18 holes.

Be Prepared

Lots of fun and a great course. I have a physical handicap and found some of the tee boxes hard to navigate. Putting in some handrails and steps would make it a perfect experience.
