SunRidge Canyon Golf Club
SunRidge Canyon Golf Club provides adventure amid natural terrain over 6,823 yards of par-71 golf. The golf course was laid out by the golf course architect Keith Foster, who hid the golf course in the ridges and canyons of the foothills of the McDowell Mountains, one of the last untouched bastions of the Southwestern United States.
The SunRidge Canyon Golf Club's signature hole is the 17th, and it is unique, giving golfers the option of shooting a 209-yard, par 3 over a box canyon today and then going for a 152-yard par 3 from an elevated tee tomorrow. Foster discovered the elevated-tee opportunity during a tour of the golf course while it was being constructed and added the Canyon set of tees right then. The vistas he knew golfers would get were enough to convince Foster to set up the second set of tees.
After a round of golf at the SunRidge Canyon Golf Club, head back to the Ridge Room, which attracts visitors and locals for the great view and Southwestern cuisine.

We booked a round for my wife and I on monthers day since it was mothers play free. We paid cash for our round and then went to the driving range. within 30 minutes on the practice range, it started to rain so we went in to get a refund but were told that we could only get a credit for the money we gave him. I had to book another round a week later but had to pay the full price thru golf now plus a water surcharge of $13.00 that no one told us about. The proshop gave us a lame excuse that all courses charge the water surcharge fees and offered no discounts. Nice course but like to rip off out of towners as much as they can. I won't be going back.
Amazing Course and Experience!
Sunridge Canyon is an amazing golf course in the Phoenix area. One of the most scenic courses you can play in the area! The course is in excellent conditions. Greens were perfect and the new bunker renovation just adds more to this already great golf course. Highly recommend checking out this gem!
Great veiws and great greens
Golf course was good. Conditions were good as well. BUT..... when we got home and looked at our bill the course had charge me $12.00 for two bottles of water that were in our cooler when we arrived. $12.00 for two bottles of water!!! No one mentioned that we were being charged Pro Shop never said a word about charge. I just paid $114.00 US to play your course and you have the nerve to charge you customers $6.00 for a bottle of water. Really guys don't nickel and dime your paying customers.
Course had great views
Liked the views. Course was not in great shape for the price. Needed to have been over seeded and greened up. Greens rolled OK. Workers were a 10!!!
Very first class experience. Beautiful course with great variation in holes. Very friendly staff - the ranger retrieved my wedge that I left on the practice tee and had it to me within one hole. Recommend the course to anyone visiting the valley.
Outstanding golf course
A remarkable golf course, set in the Arizona desert with multiple cacti and beautiful scenery. Course was in excellent condition. Would recommend it highly.
This was my 2nd time playing sunridge and my experience was much better this time...course was in better overall condition, greens rolled better..must play in the east valley
Beautiful Day of Golf
From the friendly staff to the bathroom, water and halfway house amenities, this was a very good experience. The golf course is beautiful and challenging without being tricky. I would like to play again soon!
Terrible shape and cost an arm and leg
Staff was unfriendly, course was very bad. Plenty of other courses to play, do yourself a favor and stay away
Course needs work and price reduction...
The course has always been one of our favorites but this time it was just awful. The greens need to be rolled. They were lumpy from the other cup placements and also they had been painted. Made for an awful putting experience.
In addition, the areas around the sand traps were chopped up and there were gaps bewteeen the sod which they let die off.
Also - the famed 17th tee box closed which has you drive over the canyon to the green. It’s always closed. Makes no sense.
For the money they charge approx $115 - this was not acceptable. Other local course are in better condition and charge a bit less. And you couldn’t even tee of from the best spots on some holes!
Very disappointing. The owner has told us how much he is putting into course improvements but we have yet to see it.
Won’t be back anytime soon!
Spectacular Desert layout
WOW Another Keith Foster gem! He used the desert in a magnificent layout! Greens are fair but you better figure out uphill and downhill! The new Scottish bunkers are plenty tough! It’s a must play inScottsdale.
nice layout and course was in good shape. Houses line many fairways which takes away from the "out in the desert" feel. Greens were FAST and rolled true. I'd go back. A little pricey though.
A true desert layout
Glad I played .
Last two times they were allowing 5 somes which I complained about but was told that The course was " fivesome friendly" . That was disturbing
A co worker recommended this course as his number one pick when coming to Scottsdale. well designed, friendly staff, beautiful setting with some incredible mountain views and challenging tees. We will definitely come back.
