Eagle Mountain Golf Club
About
Designed by Scott Miller, this course is located in the southeastern foothills of the McDowell Mountains and is an innovative departure from the “target” style courses constructed in the desert in the recent past. Its layout takes advantage of a variety of land features: rolling hills, ridgelines, lush valley and washes, with a backdrop of prominent mountain outcroppings. In many instances, long extended views into untouched desert landscapes and area landmarks, such as Camelback Mountain, will be afforded. It is a strategic design, which asks the player to make choices relative to skill level.

Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
Fun Course with great views
Very fair and no surprises when playing the first time. Fairways were a bit rough in places due to Bermuda not coming in yet.
Love Eagle Mountain and play here every year. But teeing off at 11:40am on a Monday in the middle of June, a round of golf shouldn't take 4.5 hours. After the first three holes we waited every hole. Not just waiting for the group in front of us to clear, they hadn't even teed off yet. Bringing this up to the player assistant at the 10th, he looked at our time sheet and said, looks like you're right on time.
Appreciate the comments. Will discuss with Player Assistants.
great course
hardest part of course is walking from greens back to your cart ...all uphill!!!! course is a great layout and challenging but fair...good value
Thank you for the review, appreciate the 5 stars
One of my favorite places to play
Eagle Mountain is reasonably price for the quality. It’s professionally managed the greens fairways and tea boxes are typically well-maintained. The sand traps could be a little better.
Staff is very friendly always helpful.
Marshal
The Course Marshall was very nice and professional. However, even tho we were keeping our.pacr of play equal to what was requested on a posted time sheet on our cart, because the 4some behind us were playing at a faster pace he felt he needed to tell us to speed up our play..That of course caused us to play faster and therefore playing rushed and did not make the round as enjoyable and it should have been.
However, I want to emphasize we knew he was doing his job.
Thank you for your comments. We will discuss with staff
Stunning location
The views and course layout are so spectacular that you forget about scoring well. Double bogey isn’t so bad.
Thank you for your comments, glad you enjoyed the course.
Eagle Mountain is a beauty
Ten minutes between start times and good marshals make for a good pace of play.
Course is beautiful and in great condition
Unique hilly course
Fun course to play through hilly terrain. Fairways nice but many unfilled divots. Greens look good but bumpy for putting..
$280 Really????
Front desk check in was not friendly especially when questioning the rate of $280. Ranger advised us we were behind when we were waiting on every shot, greens were sparse and very slow. Patio was nice and restaurant service was good. I would not recommend this course to anyone. If you are in anyway challenged with walking you will have a hard time even though you are in a cart.
Best course to start off your trip.
This course truly was beautiful especially at sunrise. The range and practice greens were wonderful. I’m like a 10 handicap golfer and I thought this was an absolute perfect course to really test myself but not be too difficult. Everything sloping to the fairways really helps if you’re not a talented tee box hitter and had surprisingly slower greens that were forgiving. Best course to start off a boys golf trip or just to see a beautiful course. Oh and the hot dogs were amazing. Staff was stellar and had plenty of water and bathrooms on the course. I’ll definitely be playing here again.
Awesome track, but prepping for overseed
First time playing the course and really enjoyed the challenging layout. The track is very creative and fun, but the conditions were a little rough in places as the course is being prepped for over seeding. This still exceeded my expectations for the day even if some fairway patches were dried out.
Thank you for the comments. Bermuda should be coming in soon with the warmer temperatures and a little humidity
