Eagle Mountain Golf Club
About
Designed by Scott Miller, this course is located in the southeastern foothills of the McDowell Mountains and is an innovative departure from the “target” style courses constructed in the desert in the recent past. Its layout takes advantage of a variety of land features: rolling hills, ridgelines, lush valley and washes, with a backdrop of prominent mountain outcroppings. In many instances, long extended views into untouched desert landscapes and area landmarks, such as Camelback Mountain, will be afforded. It is a strategic design, which asks the player to make choices relative to skill level.

Great day at Eagle Mountain! Photo submitted by uOQDZ5699OQ on 09/26/2012
The Eagle has landed - the Eagle Mountan Experience.
If you play golf and like beautiful challenging courses then this is a must play course. It is very beautiful track that will have you playing every club in your bag!! As a visitor to Phoenix every year - we are very happy and impressed with the condition of the course. Please note - there is lots of walking up and down to the large challenging greens. I have played many courses in the greater Phoenix area and would rank this course in my top ten
Nice layout
Course is in great shape, greens were a tad slow due to rain the day before. Only drawback was the pace of play as the foursome in front has a hole between them and the group in front of them. Still played in 4 and 25. Will be back.
Will play again
Great course, wonderful condition, awesome weather. Played in 4 and 20. Will definitely be back.
Great Course!
Had a slow twosome in front of us and held us up. Other than that, it was great.
Nice Track in Fountain Hills
Nice test of golf that was a little expensive, but new reality regarding price. Nice practice area to warm up. Starter was a great guy that was pleasant to talk to before tee off. Course was fine with some patchy fairways, but greens were in good shape though a little slow. Back nine is a test with shorter holes, but greens that require approaches to be well struck. Had a great day and will be back. Lack of gps on carts made some tee shots and approach shots more difficult regarding aim lines.
Great but pricey (like everywhere else right now)
Played this course for a second time. I love the layout, and the course is in great shape. Staff and amenities were also top notch.
Enjoyable
We enjoyed a great morning out at Eagle Mountain. The pace of play was fast, the staff was friendly, and the course was beautiful. As is the case everywhere right now, we'd prefer the green fees to be less, but they are on par with every other course of the same caliber.
Eagle Mountain GC is Outstanding!
Five Star for sure. What a beautiful course, friendly staff and value!
Great course
Great conditions at Eagle Mountain. Greens good however a bit slow. Course is forgiving however challenging. Would go back
Will be back
Nice course with great scenery. Good practice facilities. Enjoyed playing here
Go
Another great Troon course, best in Fountain Hills. Course was in good condition given the recent rains. Great practice facility to warm up your game. Layout pretty forgiving yet challenging enough. Worth the trip.
Glad you enjoyed your day. Hope to see you again soon...
Thank you for the review
4hr 15 min pace of play
Tee time was for 11:10am. Pace of play - 4hrs 15 mins. If you play early mornings the pace is typically faster. Average condition for this time of year (fairways average+ condition, dormant grass if you miss the fairway). Greens were in good condition. It is what it is.
Thanks for your review. 4:15 is great for this time of year
Good course but overpriced
Second time playing Eagle Mountain. Everyone was very nice...pro shop, bag drop, on course food & drink cart women. It's a nice course but not worth $300. I realize it's prime season in Phoenix/Scottsdale areas, but it's not worth $300. Practice area was pretty beat up. Lots of fairways were beat up and overwatered. Several of the tee boxes were beat up. The greens were all very nice!!!
Appreciate the feedback.
Eagle Mtn. is in good shape
Greens and Fairways are in great shape.
I always grab a grilled hot dog or brat on the 10th tee!
Thank you for the 5 stars
Nice Course
This is a nice course that is normally priced too high for my budget. We got a fairly good price in early January which was still more than I like to pay to play golf. The course is very nice, and very playable for most skill levels. I would play here more often if it were more affordable.
Appreciate the comments, hope to see you again soon
