Legend at Arrowhead, The
About
Located in the west valley, the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Front 9 greens were in awful shape, back 9 was a little better. Need to wait a while for the greens to recover
LAS
They should not let singles out. They push groups and disrupts other groups by letting them thru. Course was in good condition
6/28
Course played well. There were bare spots on greens and some on fairways. They were playable and puttable. The greens were a good speed. Fairways generally in good shape.
Make Legend a Must Play
The course was in good shape for late June. Hit them straight to stay on the fairway except for the long banana par 5's. Great staff, greens were rolling fairly true despite the course being aerated. The traps are hard dirt so they are not easy to get out. Definitely worth playing at this time of the year.
Pro shop needs a change of staff
Got there 30 min before my tee time to warm up but the driving range was not open. Asked the pro if he thought it would be open in enough time and his answer was probably not going to happen. Then I asked if the bar was going to open so I could grab some food. Nope not sure when it will open was the answer I got. Sat and waited for 15 with no one teeing off so I asked if we could take off and he stated no there are people scheduled in front of you. Waited another 10 min with no one teeing off. Just poor management in the pro shop. Was passed up twice by the beverage cart. This will not be my first choice going forward.
Good Value
Good sand in bunkers. Friendly staff. The course was wide open when we played. New mgmt. has improved the course alot.
GolfNow prices better
I have played this course for several years as a monthly member but have not so much this past year. The Golfnow price was much lower and better than my old membership price. With that said the fairways and bunkers are in great shape but the greens, always a challenge in this course, are showing wear and tear after the winter season. I love the layout of this course. It suits my game. Just wish it wasn't so pricey without Golfnow.
Where’s the staff?
Tee’ing off for twilight rates can always be a crap shoot. I tried here 3 months back and only got in 9 in over 3 hours after waiting 30 minutes because they were backed up. I decided to give them another try. While the heat had driven prices down and there were less people on the course he group in front of us proceeded to take 20 minutes on the first hole and we knew we were in for a long day. We tee’d off 4 hours before sunset so we’re hoping to get all 18 in. We skipped 2 and headed had a great front 9. Finished in 1.75 hours. This is where the problems begin. When we made the turn and went to get water or beverages the bar/restaurant is closed as well as the pro shop. It’s 100 degrees outside and the only water on the front was on 5. We were not told when we checked in that the pro shop and bar would be closed early or we could have stocked up on water. We trudged on to 10 and we’re immediately met with waiting on every hole to tee off, on every second shot into the green as well. There was supposed to be water on 15 but they had closed the bathroom’s which is where the water fountain is. This is completely unacceptable to not have anywhere for golfers to get water or drinks for 13 holes with no notice. There were clearly golfers still on the course as we were backed up but the staff was nowhere to be found.
I have this place a second chance and it disappointed me again. This is a high end neighborhood and is supposed to be a high end course or at least the price would suggest it is. I won’t be back and will steer anyone who asks me to other courses as well
some greens had issues, fairway bunkers had no sand in them and no rakes.. Overall nice course just fix the bunkers so I don't scratch the clubs .
Don't Waste Your Money
Not worth $90 in late May. Range balls not included, either. Disgusting carts, horrible greens, and no sand in the traps. Pace was awful but the staff were nice. I can think of 20 other courses in this price range that I'd play before considering coming back to The Legend at Arrowhead.
Awesome course
This is easily my favorite course in the valley. It's nice and long with some devious pin placements which makes your approach very challenging. Tee boxes and fairways are in great shape and you can't beat the scenery. The view from the 5th tee is awesome. Take a moment to admire it.
Really enjoyable course
Yes the course winds through residential neighborhoods but it's really fun to play. Ample fairways, fast greens, pace of play was great. Greens have a lot of slope and they're pretty quick which made them challenging. There's water on quite a few holes but the fairways are nice and wide. I will definitely play here again.
Super fun course
Yes it has residential around it but it's a super fun course! Ample fairways, some water, and the sloped greens are tricky to putt. Especially if you don't putt bermuda regularly. Played two days in a row and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Solid place for the money
Playing on a Saturday morning can be challenging but this place does a good job with pace of play. Course was in good condition, greens are tricky. Nice layout, very fair even if you spray the ball.
Cart girls came through several times and the club house bar has food and a nice view. Would play it agai.
Nice changed
Haven’t played here for a couple years and loved the better sand traps, the greens and fairways were very nice. And loved the new outdoor bar. Everyone was really friendly and nice. Had a great time!
Fun course to play as an area visitor
Course was in great shape, ground and greens were rock hard but did not take away from enjoyable round.
