Course in great shape, greens receptive, traps were pretty good, pace of play was 4-1/2 hrs, staff were great, pretty uch all I could ask for

Nice track, nice views, plenty of room to spray it and not hit a house! Definitely will try to play again!

Great course but we ran into what would have been a 3-plus hour back nine and weren't able to play the final two holes (despite teeing off by 2 p.m.) because a single was let off behind us and we let him play through ... and then the course case to a screeching halt on the back nine and we only got in seven holes before finding 4 groups on the 17th tee as the sun was setting. As we drove in, we found a no one on the 18th. Where was a marshal / player assistant?

Well worth the 55 minute drive from Scottsdale.,Get there to enjoy there great range and practice area. Tees, fairways and greens are in decent shape. Some very challenging par 3s. Watch out for sloping fairways but by and large with some exceptions lots of room to let your driver rip. Back nine makes you think on the par 5s.

Pace of play was excellent. Great value. Play it… you won’t be disappointed.

Golf Club of Estrella is a fun course to play. I really enjoy the layout and will play it more often. Could use more sand in the bunkers - at least the ones I was in.

Dont spend 2-3 times as much in Scottsdale. Play Estrella!

Very good layout with enough challenge for all levels. The hybrid grass always leaves you with a very good lie. Friendly staff and enjoyable atmosphere. I would like to rate the course higher but the bunkers are very sub standard. Many rocks and pebbles but more importantly a very poor type of sand and not enough of it. For what Troon charges I think they could do a much better job with the condition of the bunkers.

I enjoyed the course a lot. We had a 2 hour frost delay and the course worked hard to move us around and get us started close to our tee time. The staff was very friendly. Starter got things moving and the marshal kept them moving. The course was laid out nicely with some challenging holes. Tee boxes, greens and fairway were all in great condition. Brand new carts with GPS. I will definitely play here again.

Fairways and greens are in terrific condition, but the bunkering is pretty severe. We have 9-15 stroke handicaps and were able to access most of the greens, but recognize that if the average golfer doesn’t take a reasonable tee length, they may have difficulty hitting and staying on the greens. Many greens have walls of sand protecting them.

Absolutely loved our afternoon at Estrella. We will return with a full foursome next time.

Beautiful cool AZ day to play Estrella. Nice views and a great pace of play.

For my first time playing this type of course I can't say enough about it. Fantastic course in great condition. Lots of well keep bunkers protect the greens. Very challenging course. Highly recommend it.
